The next day, the rain continued to pour.
"All classes are cancelled today." Anna told her friends.
"It's really a damn storm. Look outside. It's flooding. Good thing this house is elevated." Lily said, looking out of the window. "Dad said we stay here until it's safe to leave." she added.
Kith got even more worried thinking that they would not be able to take Erin to a doctor if she got worst. She was still tucked in bed asleep.
"It's getting colder." Anna said.
When Erin woke up, Kith put extra clothes on her because the storm added to the cold of the coming winter.
Mr. Feodor and his wife delivered sandwiches and hot drinks to all the stranded guests. Kith took Erin to the living room near the fireplace. Their friends came with them.
"How do you feel?" he asked.
She was sitting between his legs. "My nose is stuffy." she answered, then she sniffed.
"I'll make you a hot tea later. Finish your sandwich." he told her.
She turned her head and looked at him. "I can't taste my sandwich." she complained, pouting.
He only looked at her and didn't react.
"Okay, doc" she said, thinking he was not in the mood to hear a joke. She looked back at her sandwich and took a big bite, then she smiled at him. He smiled back and kissed the side of her head.
"Where can I find a strict, but sweet boyfriend?" Lily asked in an envious tone as she was watching them.
Anna rolled her eyes.
After staying in the fireplace for over an hour, they decided to go back to their room, but before they could climb the stairs, they heard someone calling in the corridor.
"Guys! Mr. Feodor needs help! The back of the house is flooding! The generator must be lifted to a higher place, otherwise, the power will be cut off! We need men!"
After they heard that, Kith and Harry took the girls back to their room.
"Stay here" Kith told Erin.
"Okay, be careful." she answered.
"I will." he replied, then he left with Harry.
