Luciano's POV

"You won't get away with this, trust me" was all Jefferson could mutter when we got to the pack house. I couldn't explain how happy I was to know that it was all over. Without my orchid, I would have never found the strength to win this.

I made sure all the injured wolves were receiving proper treatment at the infirmary and my mother and aunt were going to oversee the care given to them. I walked up to the trio and stared in utter disgust as they struggled with their shackles.

"You're not going to win this I promise you, this battle is not over" Jefferson grunted.

"But I already won. My mate and I beat you, and that's all there is to it"

"Where is my brother, I want to see his body" he grunted yet again. I honestly think he's a werewolf-werepig hybrid. So annoying

"Ohhh but he's not dead, why would I possibly kill him. I was only joking about all the things I said, your brother is very much alive and has a very exhausting habit of eating all the chicken in the fridge. I had to restock three times a week every month" I stated clearly and my mate chuckled and then stood upright again.

"What do mean he's still alive?"

"He is Alive, very much Alive. And he's a fun sport, very clever too" I couldn't help but smile at that, at the confused look on Jefferson's face.

"He's also very cute for his age, I mean we're basically agemates" my mate just complimented another person. Why would she just do that?

"Orchid!!!!"

"I'm sorry love, I'm just being honest"

"It's fine, can you go get them, and Alley please let the other pack members out"

"Sure thing sweetheart, c'mon Alley" my mate walked away with her best friend and my gaze focused on Jack.

I picked him up and made him stand. "I know what you did to my mate, you're gonna pay big time for it. How dare you even touch her"

"Little Luciano, slow down, it wasn't the first time I hit her. I hit her a lot long before you guys even met, well until she became strong and dared to hit me back one time, she knocked me out. But at least I left her with a black eye then, so I was satisfied"

I was boiling with anger right now, all I wanted to do was to beat up this bastard till he gave up and died, but my mate and I decided we'd do it together

Alley and Esme came back with Richard and his family. Jefferson was now extremely surprised to see that there was not a single scratch on his brother's body.

"How..." Jefferson couldn't even say anything. "Ohh c'mon brother, I've not changed that much" Richard stated

"You... You didn't die"

"Of course not, they're not like you. They took good care of me, let me walk around the house, and let me eat whatever I want, and boy do they have amazing barbeque chicken. The barbeque sauce is so thick it sticks to your face"

Richard was always such a chatter box, I only felt bad I had to keep sedating him.

"I still don't understand"

"Ughhh, Jefferson you are honestly dumb. I didn't hurt your brother in anyway. I only had to sedate him because he didn't want to have any connections with you. He was sick and tired of being your minion, he even revealed your plans. For fucks sake he's only 18, he had his entire life ahead of him but you ruined everything. Look at your little sister, she hasn't even started college, neither has Richard, and what about Giselle and Rose. You dragged your entire family in your mess and ruined their entire lives. I won't just punish you for the trouble you've caused but also for ruining your family's lives"

Jefferson dropped his guard, he looked down and his entire mood changed. He seemed to show some remorse before finally looking up.

"Do what you have to do, I won't fight it, I've been a bad person, I don't deserve a second chance. Just end my misery"

Honestly I was going to put five bullets in his head at a go but then Esme held my hand.

"Let him go" wait... What?

"Huh?"

"Luciano please. Baby look he's sorry. He's remorseful, let's not waste his life. He can make amends"

Uggghhh, sometimes my mate can be something else.

"Okay fine, unlock his shackles and keep him under custody"

Esme came up to me and I kept checking her for scratches suddenly I heard a gun shot and she slumped on me.

"Esme, Esme, are you okay?"

I held her in my arms as her blood oozed all over me, Jefferson had shot her and my wolves immediately grabbed him and all I could do was stare at my mate. Danny and Fania rushed to our side as Alley ensured that Jefferson was kept in shackles again.

"Esme wake up, please"

She didn't respond, but I could still feel her pulse.

"She passed out... I swear I'll end you right here, right now"

I said as I grabbed Esme's katana and beheaded Jefferson right in front of my pack house.

"Noooo, why would you do that? You just rendered his son fatherless" Lana yelled out

"Get them out of here, I'm taking your Luna to the infirmary" I said to my wolves, filled with rage.

I picked her up and she groaned a little. The flow of blood reduced and I couldn't help the pain I felt in my chest. Seeing her in this state broke me, once again I couldn't do anything to protect her. At least Jefferson was dead, our lives would start to make sense. She'd finally get a job and we'd build a family together and we'd be happy.

"Hang in there for me orchid, please" I begged almost in tears
