Chapter 13

Luciano's POV

After my mate and I had a conversation we both left my office for the living room where she introduced me to her best friend as her mate. I couldn't explain the type of joy I felt. Finally, the pretty little orchid was mine, my mate, my Luna, my Princess. I held her hand and escorted her to the verandah. "If your parents say yes, would you be able to live with me? I mean in the same room and all?" I really needed to know her opinion about everything. If she wasn't going to be okay I needed to be sure.

"It seems okay, I mean we are mates, but can I get my own room first. I'll need time to adjust, that's all" I was okay with whatever she said as far as she was happy. "That's okay, we just have to tell your parents"

We got to my mates house and went in, she greeted her parents and her housekeeper. "Mom, dad, this is Luciano, my mate. He's the current Alpha of the crescent moon pack and Danny's older brother" her father had a very huge smile on his face. "Welcome to the blood moon pack, I'm the previous alpha, and my name is Eric. This is my wife Elana and my son Ethan is not home right now. He went out with his mate"

They offered me a seat and we talked about a lot of stuff. We talked for a couple of hours and I finally asked if I could take Esme home with me and they agreed. They also agreed to her  staying with me from now onwards. I helped Esme pack her things as she said goodbye to her parents and housekeeper. Her brother came home and we exchanged pleasantries. I spotted Esme crying in the corner with her sister Erianna. I didn't want any of this, I didn't want her crying. I got over to her side and wiped her tears; "you can always visit whenever you want, I promise I'm not separating you from your family forever. Trust me" I said gently placing a kiss on her forehead. She nodded in agreement as we headed to the car. She hugged her parents finally and hopped in.

The journey home was quiet I decided to put on the radio. Just then my favorite song started playing I was singing to it soon after I heard Esme sing to it too. 'Why do I have such a beautiful mate?'
"You know the song too?" I asked looking quite surprised. "It's my favorite song, I listen to it a lot" we're made for each other, were perfect and she's all mine.

We got home and I showed her to her room, which is right next to mine so I'd be able to know if she needed anything. I went in and saw the most unpleasant sight ever. It was Lara, sitting on my bed in a red lingerie. I've had absolutely enough of this bitch. "What are you doing here dressed like this? Please leave my bedroom right now, my mate is trying to rest and I don't want any noise" she stood up and walked over to my side, clearly not affected by the word 'mate'. "I don't care, I came to warm your bed tonight and don't worry about my mate, I already rejected him. I did it for you my sweet pea" she what? "Get out of my room and my house right now or else I'll throw you in the dungeon. And I never want to see you ever, ever again, am I clear?" I yelled using my Alpha tone just as Esme walked in. "Luciano is everything okay? Who's your friend? And why is she dressed like that?" Ohhh Lord, I was avoiding this. "I'm his mate you bitch, you better get out of here and let me have some peace with my Luciano" Lara yelled making me go mad, nobody yells at my mate. "Now look here you..." I was cut off by Esme. "I got this Luciano" she said making me move aside

"What are you going to do, you don't even smell like a wolf, you puny little human" I was already about to smack her before Esme did. She pulled her by the hair and hit her forehead on the wall. She twisted her hand to the back and whispered something to her which of course I heard. "Now listen to me you whore, I don't care what your relationship with Luciano must have been but I'm here now. I'm his mate and you can't do anything about it, it's better you get out of here right now with those skinny looking legs of yours while you still can. And don't you ever come back. Got it?" Whoa, she does like to take charge.

Lara scurried away from her grasp and looked her in the eyes. "You haven't seen the last of me, I'll be back" she spluttered. "Judging by your current appearance I don't think I want to see any of you, just leave". "I love you Luciano" she said making Esme roll her eyes. "Get out of here" Esme yelled as she scurried off. "Ummm, you can sleep now, goodnight" Esme said trying to turn off the lights as I stopped her. "I haven't had my bath yet. I just wanted to say you're amazing" she smiled.

"Thank you, goodnight Luciano" she said making me want to kiss her.
