Chapter 10

Esme's POV

"Happy birthday bestie, you're finally 18". I was woken up by my besties and their screaming. It was finally my birthday. There is so much to be done. "Thank you so much besties, I love three of you a lot. But we have loads of things to do, so come on, Fania you shower first". She got up and headed to the showers. I went downstairs to make sure everyone was ready.

"Happy birthday Esme" my entire family shouted. "Awwwn. Thank you. But we have work to do. Is everyone else ready?" I asked not wanting to waste anymore time. "Esme you need to chill, everything is fine. We will handle it, go get ready" I guess I could go now. "Alright mum, I love you" I ran up to meet the girls

After I was done helping the girls with their make up I went to brush my teeth and shower again. I got out and they helped me with my make up, we all did our finishing touches. I decided we all do something crazy. "Why don't we all turn our backs to each other and put on our dresses, so when we turn to face each other we will all be wowed" they agreed and we got to it.

I took out my gown and put it on, it was quite long and had lots of details. It was an-off shoulder but it was beautiful.

*Esme's gown*

"Are you guys done". They all said yes and we turned to face each other. Alley's gown was amazing. It was longer than mine and it was looking extremely magnificent.

"OMG, Alley your gown is so beautiful" I said still wowed. "You're welcome" she said making me roll my eyes at her. I looked at Danny and her gown was just, whoa. It was a net gown with some white looking details at the top.

"Danny, whoa, that's amazing" it was beautiful. "Thanks Esme"; I looked over at Fania, her gown was simple but extremely beautiful. And it suited her perfectly.

"Fania, that's beautiful, I love it" I said to her, I wasn't surprised, she loved being simple. "Ohh you're too kind, yours is a mind blower" she said making my blush. "Yh Esme, that's a spec" Danny said smiling. "I love you, but that gown is a total deal breaker" my bestie cooed. "Alright alright, let's go wow them. It's our time now" we all laughed as we walked downstairs.

"OMG, you guys look amazing" Erianna cooed. "You're not looking bad yourself Erianna, your gown is amazing"

"Thank you Esme, shall we" she said leading the way. We got to the venue and it was beautiful. We danced, had drinks and it was amazing. I haven't had this much fun in a really long time. My friends were also looking rather cheerful. I couldn't blame them. I saw Merida walking towards my direction. "Happy birthday Esme, c'mon go get ready. It's almost time for your's and Alley's official dance. Go on, go ahead and tell her" isn't she the sweetest? "Thanks Merida, I'll tell her right now"

On my way to go call Alley I saw Jack, registering himself as an unmated wolf. ' What the actual fuck is wrong with this guy? Why does he have to ruin this for Alley and I? ' I walked up to him and confronted him. "Yes, and what are you doing beside the register, you are mated, move away you jerk. And don't even think of coming back here" the nerve of him. "Happy birthday babydoll, you look stunning" he said walking away.

I went to look for Alley and it was time for our official dance. We had our dance and the mate finding ceremony had begun. All the unmated Wolves of 18 and above were lined up as Alley and I walked passed them making eye contact with each and everyone of them. We walked passed every guy in the file but none of them seemed to be our mates. Alley was already feeling a little bit upset and I was already trying to console her. "C'mon, it's not the end of the world, our mates are out there, somewhere. We'll keep searching, we won't stop" I assured her. "Promise me Esme, that we'll find our mates, I can't end up being unmated, please promise me"

"I promise you, we'll find them" I finally assured her again.
