"So, I can see you like him."
"I didn't want to ruin my shirt." Shane complained, although he was a bit surprised that Luciel would even make that joke, or any joke.
Luciel simply waved his hand. "It is of little consequence now. We must discuss the removal of Ricky, and your protection from your father and my brother."
"I'm assuming you already have most of the details?"
"I'm offended that you asked." Luciel said without smiling. "Yes, in my ventures to follow you, I also began to make a plan in case Ricky needed to be removed by force, since he seems to be a bit too comfortable in that body."
"Yeah, he loves tormenting me." Shane muttered, fiddling with the camera in his grasp.
"I believe it is more that he misses being human."
"I don't think he ever truly qualified as human." Shane said bitterly.
"Once again, it's of little consequence. I have made the arrangements back in A.L. to-"
"A.L.?"
"A.L. yes."
"L.A." Shane corrected.
"Little. Consequence." Luciel said, more forcefully this time. "I made arrangements back in L.A. to get Ryan an exorcism by a man named Gary Thomas."
Shane choked on air. "What?"
"Gary Thomas agreed to handle an exorcism."
"So many questions."
"What are they?"
"One: How did you convince Thomas to help you, a demon. Two: How did you know Thomas?"
"One: No one is a saint. Two: He was a rowdy teenager."
"Rowdy... Story."
"He used to play with many types of magics that invoked demons."
"Oh. My. God."
"Actually, God was not there."
Shane blurted a laugh. "I'd wager he wasn't."
"Either way, I trust that you would like to remove Ricky."
"Of course."
"Therefore, we should return to L.A. immediately to remove him."
"We can't."
"Why not?" Luciel cocked his head slightly.
"We have to film here first."
"Film? Ah, your show. Are you sure that's important enough to risk your's and your human's safety?"
"Ryan would not let us leave. He needs us to stay. I don't wanna take this from him." Shane said, fingers brushing over the lens of the camera.
"Very well."
"Thank you." Shane said, and turned to walk back to Ryan, when Luciel spoke again.
"We should also discuss your future as well."
"Okay?"
"You wish to stay with your human?"
"Of course I do."
Luciel nodded, his grave expression turning even more grave. "Then it is vital we discuss this matter. I would like to help you strip yourself of your demonic ties."
Luciel said it so calmly, Shane thought he had simply heard wrong, but as the words sank in, he almost dropped the camera. "What?"
"I know of a couple of methods that could break you of demonic nature, whilst not losing the natural protections you currently have."
"A couple? As in more than none?"
"Yes, although only one requires no human sacrifices."
"Then let's do that one." Shane said, more forcefully than intended.
"I agree. However, I would first like to free your human."
"I agree that we handle that first, but how would you go about breaking my connection to Hell?"
"You would start by-" Luciel suddenly stopped, and his gaze focused and hardened on a point behind Shane. Shane turned, and faced Ricky's cold eyes staring at him with an anger that made Shane flinch away. His grip tightened on the camera.
"Traitor." Came Ricky's voice. It was void of its usual tormenting cheer.
"Leave us, Ricky." Luciel said with the force of a storm.
"No." Ricky said simply. "We aren't in Hell. You aren't in control anymore than Shaney is."
Shane growled, taking a step forward, but Luciel held up a hand. "You are correct, however you are alone, while there are two of us."
"Are you going to attack Shaney's precious human?" Ricky taunted. He reached out and held up three fingers, then sat them on Ryan's arm, and raked downward, drawing blood.
Shane hurt just watching. "Just stop! Leave him alone."
"I warned you the dangers of trying to rid yourself of me."
"That is enough, Ricky." Luciel growled.
"Fine." Ricky let the arm fall to his side, and his hand curled into a fist. Then he charged, and tackled Luciel with a grunt. Shane reached and tried to pull Ricky away, dropping the camera in the process, but Luciel shoved him into a wall before Shane could catch him. "Careful, you might damage him."
Shane grabbed Ricky by his arms and put them behind his back. Confused emotions flooded him, smelling Ryan and wanting to strangle Ricky. Luciel restrained himself, though he looked like he want to punch Ricky while he was stuck.
"Let Ryan go." Shane said into Ricky's ear.
"No." Ricky said, and Shane noticed the camera on the ground. Ricky's eyes locked on it as well, and Ricky began to fight to free himself.
"Luciel, the camera!"
Luciel reached for it, and picked it up, letting his palm heat up until the filming equipment began to melt.
Ricky growled, then collapsed as Ryan regained control.
"Well," Luciel said, brushing himself off. "That was rather eventful, wasn't it?"
