Ryan knew what he saw. He wasn't crazy, although he was desperately trying to say he was. It hadn't been a trick of the light. He had watched Shane Madej's irises swirl like a whirlpool, carmel brown turning to gold. He knew what he saw. He was confused. When he had seen it, he had tried to write it off, but it wouldn't leave his mind. He remembered seeing something similar when they were at Bobby Mackey's. He had written it off then, but now it had happened twice. I am not crazy Ryan thought to himself. It didn't help that he had been thinking a lot of Shane recently. His relationship with Helen was suffering for it. He knew that their relationship was strained, but everytime he thought it was getting better, Shane would enter his mind. Helen had noticed. Ryan was honestly pretty convinced that Helen thought he was cheating on her. He wasn't, but that didn't help. If he wasn't cheating on her, than he just wasn't committed anymore, and in Ryan's mind, that was worse for Helen to think. He walked down the roads until he got to a small park. He sat down on a bench and pulled out his phone. He put on the camera, and began to record himself.
"I'm not crazy. I just watched my best friend's eyes turn gold. And I don't think it's the first time I've seen it either. I'm not crazy." Ryan repeated, and he could've sworn he heard a voice, definitely not his voice, whisper softly.
"You aren't crazy...."
