Elisa and Mikasa came across an Abnormal running weird. they flew to it right away. Elisa got to the back of its ankles while Mikasa got to its nape. Elisa runs to Mikasa right away. she sees a crowd of people. "mind telling me what all this ruckus is about?" Elisa questioned.
"huh?" Mikasa looks ahead at the crowd, and looks appalled to say the least. "yeah. what is all this?" Mikasa also questioned.
"couldn't have asked for better timing!! force these useless morons to push my wagon! i'll pay you handsomely!" a merchant named Dimo Reeves called out. Elisa was speechless to think something like this was happening.
"are you serious? soldiers are dying back there! laying down their lives for you! all because this is taking too long." Mikasa pointed out.
"and you're also keeping these civilians waiting! what if all of us soldiers and cadets die here, and there would be no one to save you because of this?" Elisa also pointed out.
"that's their job! you expect me to shed a tear cause they gotta fulfill the duties they signed on for?! they're supposed to be willing to lay down their lives! don't get all high-handed on me just cause you finally got earned your damn keep after all these years!" Reeves said, which made Mikasa and Elisa angry. did he seriously just disrespect Mikasa? the Mikasa Ackerman? Elisa thought to herself.
Mikasa started walking over there. Elisa follows her a bit. "yeah. no arguing with that. you're absolutely right, sir. guess it's what you call the greater good. still. sometimes it's not the life or the death of a soldier that makes the biggest difference." Mikasa pointed out with a little bit of anger in her tone.
"don't you even dare! your commander and i are old friends! one word from me and you'll be court marshaled! believe it!" Reeves argued back, trying to intimidate the two girls.
two men started running to the girls. Mikasa and Elisa both acted quickly once they got closer. they used their swords to get them out of the way. they didn't kill them, they just pushed them. "i'd like to see you try." Elisa argued back.
"that word gonna come from beyond the grave?" Mikasa questioned as Reeves becomes terrified.
"no! wait!!" Reeves whimpered out. they give the merchant cold looks while pointing their swords.
"sir, maybe we should uhh..." one of his lackies said. "pull the damn wagon out." Reeves ordered. so they did, and everyone got to evacuate.
but there was one mother and her daughter wanting to talk to the two cadets. "you're amazing!" a young girl named Louise said. the two cadets turned their attention to the girl.
"you saved our lives, young ladies. all of us are in your debt." the mother of Louise said with a smile on her face. Elisa returned the smile as both Mikasa and Elisa saluted with their heads down.
