Eren's Titan was charging at her again after she got up, but Annie started running away. he was full on chasing her at this point. Armin, Elisa, Jean, and Hange were following along. they stop on a rooftop after that. "well i dare say it looks like our boy's in control of himself this time." Hange pointed out.
"yeah. still, though... there's no guarantee this will turn out any differently than their last meeting." Armin pointed out. Jean, Elisa, and Hange all have eyes on Armin now.
"come on, he wouldn't have transformed... unless he knew for sure he could take her this time. he's got this, okay?" Jean reassured.
"i don't doubt that, but determination alone isn't enough to win a fight. you of all people should know that." Armin remarked. "it'll take more than that to beat Annie. a lot more."
then, the four of them were zipping around with their ODM gear to interact with the other Scouts. "split into two teams and go around!!" Hange ordered. Eren was still chasing her.
it was now Eren and Annie, in stances, looking at each other. Annie... always so cynical... like every little thing around you was pointless. nothing worth a second look. Eren thought through the nape of his Titans neck while Annie got into a fighting stance.
every now and then, though, i could see through the act... especially when you were showing off your fighting skills. maybe hand-to-hand combat didn't count for squat against our final grade back at the academy... but to you? it was a different story altogether. yeah... about that much at least. it was obvious you were a liar. fighting's your whole world, but what exactly are you fighting for?! what could possibly have been worth ALL THIS DEATH AND DESTRUCTION?! Eren thought.
he now was charging at her again, roaring. and this time, they were full on brawling now. Eren went for the first swing, but Annie used her hardening technique to shield Eren. she swung at him after that, but Eren dodged. as soon as she was about to kick him, he got a hold of her leg and threw her into another building, crashing it in the process.
Eren came charging at her, but she dodged, meaning he ran into the building she crashed into.
Elisa was watching with Armin, Hange, and Moblit. "oh God... Section Commander, i hate to say it. but the city'll be debris and corpses before long, even if we manage to catch her." Moblit warned.
"well, then that's how it's gonna be. we're sticking to Commander Erwin's plan, got it? so stop babbling and ready the nets." Hange ordered. "right." Moblit complied. Elisa looked off into the distance to see Eren fighting Annie.
