days later:
"an architectural marvel, don't you agree?" a man named Oruo started explaining while Levi's squad, including Eren, went to castle ruins because that's where they were going to be staying. "a proper royal residence once upon a time; and more recently, our former headquarters." Oruo revealed.
"fancy, yes. but absurdly impractical once the Scouts got down to business. much, much too far removed from either river or wall. this was the early days for us, you understand. hopes soared high. now, this opulent bauble is a little more than a holding cell. the place where we store our newest toy." Oruo explained as Eren turned to see Levi staring at him. he quickly looked back ahead, and Oruo decided to talk to him.
"do not be deceived, greenhorn." Oruo remarked. "excuse me?" Eren asked, confused. "don't be expecting the royal treatment. whether you're Titan or human, don't imagine for a second we all share the good Captain's enthusi-" Oruo said, until his horse stepped on a rock, one of its legs fell over a bit, causing Oruo to bite his tongue drawing blood. he started screaming in pain because of it.

"that's what you get for flapping your jowls on horseback." a young ginger haired woman named Petra remarked at Oruo. Eren was overhearing all of this.
"the rookie needed to know his place. first impressions are important." Oruo defended.
"well, you certainly made an impression on him. no question there." Petra hit back.
"indeed so. our exchange went exactly as planned." Oruo said.
"what, um... what happened to you? you never used to talk like this." Petra wondered. "i mean, it's really none of my business, but if you're trying to act like the Captain, it's kind of embarrassing. you and Levi couldn't be less alike if you'd been born separate species." Petra said.
"heh. if you intend to hound me like a wife, Petra, dear, there's rather more of me you need to be acquainted with before laying claim to the privilege." Oruo explained.
"hah! you wish. i'd tell you to bite your tongue, but you've got that covered. next time, i hope you bleed out." Petra remarked.
"oh-ho-ho! methinks the lady doth protest too much." Oruo hit back. so here they are. the Scouts' Special Operation Squad. the "Levi Squad." Eren thought.

Elisa was taking a nap, trying to distract herself from reality. she hasn't heard from Eren in a while. she was growing more and more concerned by the day. he was her best friend after all. so she wanted to know if he was okay. especially after that beating Captain Levi installed at court.
"okay. so this is it?" Elisa's mother said. "yep. it should go to her." Elisa's aunt said. "mm... what's going on?" a young ten year old Elisa said, waking up.
