everyone was celebrating, cheering, all of the above. "we did it!!!" one of the soldiers said. "we blew that bastard's head off!!!"
"the Armored Titan just bit the dust!!"
"we sent him straight to hell!! good riddance!!"
Hange, Mikasa and Armin all had neutral faces on.
Jean cracked a smile while sweating. "ha... ha... we pulled it off..." he uttered out. "you were a serious pain in the ass for us. serves you right! you scumbag!" while everyone else was celebrating, Jean noticed that Sasha and Connie were crying. Jean couldn't stand the sight. so, he grabbed them by the shirt. "what the hell are you crying for?!" he yelled. "stop!! get up!! we still have work to do!! don't cry for him!! he would've done the same thing to us!!"
Eren and Elisa were watching Reiner. Elisa's Masked Titan turned over to Eren's Titan and she patted him on the back. Eren's Titan turned over to her to look at her. once he did that, she lifted up her mask to show him that she was smiling at him. Eren's Titan nodded in response, since he didn't have any lips. that was just his way of saying thank you. Elisa's Titan smiled even more as she put her mask back on and turned to face Reiner's Armored Titan again.
"THIS ISN'T OVER!" Hange said. "we'll hit him with another volley just to be sure!!" they commanded. everyone started going after that.
Mikasa noticed Armin looking rather gloomy than usual. so, she walked up to him to check on him. "you okay?" she asked while getting a hold of his shoulder.
"i guess so." Armin said. "it's not like we could negotiate." Mikasa gasped at his response. "their side has the knowledge. they make us look just as ignorant as we are weak. we don't have the ability to capture someone who can turn into a Titan on a whim. which means... there was nothing we could do."
Mikasa sighed, knowing that it was all true. but then, she gasped again at the sight of Reiner's Armored Titan moving it's jaw a bit. then, it full-on roared, leading to Armin covering his ears, everyone else stunned, and Eren and Elisa getting up in case there was gonna be another round. but whenever he stopped roaring, it looked like he was done for good, just put out of commission. Eren and Elisa's mouths were agape while their eyes were wide inside of their Titan forms. Elisa knew in her gut right away that that was a signal for something.
The Colossal Titan.
"use your thunder spears!!" Hange commanded. "if we want him dead, we'll have to destroy his whole body!!"
Armin started thinking if it was for Bertholdt. then, he saw the barrel and gasped. "HANGE WAIT! we need to fall back for now!" he said. they turned over to him. "see that barrel?" Armin said while pointing to it. "i'm sure Bertholdt's inside!" Hange went to look for the barrel in the sky, and low and behold, they saw it. "if he transforms, we're done for!!"
