Even when Captain Levi doesn't say it out loud, you knew in an instant that he didn't like you. It was not that much of a surprise really. The fact that you came from a scandalous family and did not radiate a pleasant personality the first time you met is the bare minimum. So much for getting along with my superior, huh? You thought that the best thing you could do is get along with your subordinates. When you went to the training grounds, Petra Ral was the first one to approach you and made you feel welcome. She told you how glad she was to have another girl in the group. Eld and Gunther greeted you but Oluo, was not that welcoming. His approach was filled with annoyance and mentioned the fact that you were from Mitras.
It seems like they were already informed about your whereabouts, not that you did mind but at least the whole truth about your identity was not spilled.
After testing your abilities in the ODM training site, Eld announced that it was time for lunch. You surveyed the food in the cafeteria and settled for some sweet potatoes and a portion of seasoned meat. You had no appetite ever since the hour long of travel which made you feel nauseous sometimes. You tried eating a full meal but ended up vomiting everything instead.
You were about to settle alone when Gunther called for you.
"Sit with us, Belova."
You looked at their table and saw the rest of them busy with their food. The captain was sipping his tea and glanced at you then continued what he was doing.
"I guess I'll join some other time." You looked away.
"Either you sit with us or not eat at all." Capain Levi suddenly spoke.
You rolled your eyes and sat beside Gunther. "Don't tell me that's all you would eat?" Petra pointed at your plate.
"I'm used to it." You lied.
"I guess the spoiled miss would rather starve to death than eat food made by a commoner." Oluo chuckled. "I forgot that leaving your palace doesn't exactly mean leaving your pride behind."
"And I also forgot that a member of the special operations squad also specializes in sticking their nose in some else's business. Did my choice of menu hurt your ego that much? Are you sleeping with the chef or something?" You grinned.
"Fucking bitch-"
"Settle down, idiots. Oluo, I didn't take you for someone who would engage a bickering session with an 15-year-old." Levi stood up while cleaning his tray.
"What the hell? I'm 18!" You could feel that he was doing it on purpose.
"Well, better act like one." He left the table. "Eld, do help the 18-year-old over there on practicing how to switch from using her ODM gear to riding a horse with ease. I assume since you're the 2nd in command you can get along well with her?" His tone was laced with pure sarcasm as he shot you a quick glance.
"Yes sir." Eld replied. He glanced at your direction and told you to select a horse of your liking in the stables.
"I'm bringing Eren here with us." The captain interrupted and proceeded inside the HQ.
Eren Jaeger's name was the talk of the town back home for the past few months. Who would've thought that a dangerous and peculiar ability was owned by a 15 year-old. You were also curious to meet Eren because if he activates his titan sifting ability, it would be your first time seeing a titan.
