"You're from the underground." You weren't asking Levi. You concluded the fact that he did not originate from the surface because of how familiar, too familiar he was with the place while you were discussing plans with the Commander an hour ago regarding your private mission. He knew some of the hidden alleys and exits that only some of the underground thugs and those who carried out dirty work for their high-profile employers were aware of.
How did you know of this? Your father did not just visit the underground because of your mother. He had men to do some of his dirty work against the people who crossed paths against him, and they did not end up in favorable circumstances. Plus, he also participated in underground auctions.
Levi locked his steel grey eyes, which lacked emotion with yours. He hoped that you didn't notice how slightly surprised he was of what you said, but you were quite perceptive, and Levi always knew of that.
"The way you speak, you have an accent that I usually hear back then." You explained as the both of you were walking towards the training grounds. The meeting with Erwin and Levi was brief but quite long which interrupted your training with the rest of the scouts.
"It doesn't matter."
"I didn't say it did." You bluntly said which made Levi slightly annoyed. You had your own way of countering his response and the captain was well aware of how bold your words are. But he didn't bother to scold you or anything because he was slightly amused of how you always reciprocated. It was different from how the other scouts who disliked him since yours was always laced with slight humor and boldness, not dispute and unnecessary hate and nonsense.
"Whatever, just head to the training area. I'll take care of something in my office." He said as he was about to part ways.
"Yes captain." You replied, slightly raising the corners of your mouth.
"Oh, and Belova." You looked at him before exiting towards the door. "I'm not a fool to forget about your crappy cleaning." He was referring to the stables.
You frowned. You were certain that you did a good job cleaning and while you were thinking of what to respond, he took the opportunity and returned to his office as he left you standing with the puzzled look on your face which he was satisfied with.

"You want me to act like a prostitute to secure our disguise?" You wanted to laugh at what the commander proposed but you refrained yourself from doing so since his face was serious and not a hint of amusement was evident.
"Yes."
"And Lev- the captain would pretend to auction me off or something, just so we can go down and have permission to roam around?" You raised a brow and glanced at Levi while you were conversing with the commander because you thought that Levi, along with his squad will be the ones to escort you towards your old house to retrieve the documents of your mother's previous experiments.
Commander Erwin nodded at you and explained why only you and Levi were only required to go down. It was risky and some of the people underground were familiar with Levi's squad since they used to patrol there occasionally before they were a part of the Special OPS.
"And you think that Captain Levi wouldn't be recognizable? I mean, he's recognizable anywhere." You explained remembering how popular he is back in Mitras. You noticed how Levi slightly rolled his eyes as you finished speaking.
Ah, he doesn't like being the popular one, you thought.
"But would they really believe that humanity's strongest is a nobleman auctioning off a young woman? The facade will not be suspicious little miss, believe me. Unless you act suspiciously and impulsively." The fact that the commander referred to you as little miss and the way he said the last statement irked you. He was always planning things without consulting the ones involved first and even though you knew that it was his job, it still didn't go well with you.
