Surprise Wedding ( Levi X Reader )

Finally the war ended, all of you are now free, but the freedom you guys have fought for needed to cost many lives, including Hange's. luckily your fiancé survived aka Levi but he was badly injured he lost two of his fingers, his legs were badly damaged leading into Levi not being able to walk for a few months or even years needing him to go into treatment and his left eye became blind, he's face was full of stitches but to your eyes, Levi was still as handsome as ever

You're just waiting for Levi to regain consciousness, he's been unconscious for a week now but he's still alive. In those days you never left his side, the other soldiers offered to take care of him while you take a rest but you refuse to do so, you want to be the first person he sees when he's finally awake

You sat on the chair beside Levi's bed caressing his hand softly while crying silently

"Love, please wake up now, we still need to get married right? You promised me we will after the war ended" you said as you sob silently

Suddenly you felt his hand move, you immediately shot your head up and see him open his right eye, you immediately went to go check on him while caressing his cheeks softly careful not to touch any of his other injuries

"Y-y/n? Where am I?" He asked and you just smiled softly at him before answering

"Don't worry Love, we're safe now, the war ended and you're in our room" You stated calmly as  you feel him relax a little

"W-why can't I see on my left eye?" He asked making you nervous, you don't know how he would react when he see the damage on his body

"During the war, you...got some injuries and that includes your left eye" you said trying not to stutter and remain calm for him

"L-let me see the damage" he said clearly debating if what he's gonna is the right choice but none the less you nodded and grab a mirror so he can see it

He requested for you to untie the bandage's on his face you hesitated at first but still did it knowing Levi would not back down, he stared at his now 3 fingers and scanned his face. A tear drop down his face but he quickly wipe it

"The doctor said you... wouldn't be able to see anymore on your left eye, and you also wouldn't be able to walk for a couple of Months" you said trying to sound calm and soothing

He just stayed quiet as the words sink in his mind you couldn't tell on what he's thinking but you just stayed there trying to be there for him, suddenly he opened his mouth about to say something and you just listened

"I...understand if you want to...leave me...I know that I look...horrible and pathetic in all of these...I understand if you want someone...better " he said as he tried to stop his tears from falling and you immediately shook your head

"No, no, baby, I won't, I don't care about how you look, I only care about you okay?" You said as you cup his cheeks making him look at you

"You don't look horrible at all okay? You don't look less handsome in my eyes, the important thing is, you're still the same person that I fell in love with, you're still the person who I love the most, I don't care if you can't walk for a few months, or if you're blind on your left eye, I still love you no matter what, those things only prove on how brave you've fought just to give us freedom, the important thing for me is, you're alive" you said with full of love and sincerity

"But what If other people look at you funny? For marrying someone like...me" he said as he tried to avoid your gaze again but you just hold his chin lightly so he can look at you again

"I don't care what they say, I'm in love with you okay? If they made fun of me for being with you, then that just prove that they have a bad taste, other people's opinion don't matter, I Only care about you okay?" You said as you place a gentle kiss on his forehead
