"Tch, brat you really should not be sneaking out at this time. You should be in bed sleeping" Levi tried to lecture me but he knows I won't listen to him anyway.

"I would rather sneak out my dear, I would rather be with you then sleep. Besides it's our anniversary, how can I just sleep and miss it" I smiled and hugged his arm. Both me and Levi had been together for a while now, Erwin knows about it and so does Hange who is my squad Leader.

It became a habit for both of us to be close to each other 24/7, talk all day and all night long. We also sneak out in the middle of the night just to spend time together, well you could say we're used to being together all the time now. Sometimes me and Levi would not sleep, we'll just talk all night and gaze at the sky, or sometimes one of us falls asleep and the other one will just admire the other

"Levi, you know I'm scared. I'm so used to having you by my side now, I'm afraid that I might not know what to do if you aren't" I bitterly smiled while looking at Levi. I know both of us are scared for that day to come, but we both just tried to enjoy the moment

"I am too, I am scared since I'm no longer used to not having you by my side. Hopefully the day that we fear the most doesn't come" He played my with my hair trying to calm me and himself, he was hitting two birds with one stone I guess

But sadly the world said no, it decided to not agree with us or even be in our side. Something happened, something that we both feared.

The Next Day

"You called for me?" I asked getting in Erwin's office. Odd of him to call me here when there's no expedition coming up, he usually won't call for me unless it's important

"Yeah, have a sit" He gestured on the sit in front of him which I took of course. And waited for him to speak

"Levi, I'm afraid that you and Cadet
Y/n will need to stop the things that is going on between the two of you" I sit there frozen, I looked at his eyes trying to find signs that he was just lying, that he was just pulling some kind of sick joke, but he wasn't. He was serious about it

"And what if I don't? What will be the concequences?" I asked though I'm afraid for the answer. I could get demoted because of this, but Y/n she has been with me for a long time, I can't possibly just leave her

"You'll get dishonorably discharged" He simply said making me shock, before I would be glad if they told me that I'm fired, because that means I'll be free. But now, what about humanity? Can the scouts free humanity without me? Or will all of them just get wiped out?

"You're telling me to pick between Y/n and... humanity?" I asked in disbelief. I can't abandon Y/n, but I also can't abandon humanity.

"Yes, Levi I didn't want this to happen. But this is necessary. You're getting behind everything eversince you got to be with her. You give her all your time but did you ever give yourself some? Did you ever give your job some?" He raised his eyebrows at me and I looked down, I haven't realized that I was slowly falling behind. I just really enjoyed her company that I forgot about other things

"But Erwin, it is my responsibility to give her time that she deserves. Erwin I'm her boyfriend, that's what you do when you love someone, right?" I asked and he took a deep sigh trying to calm down

"But so is being a captain Levi! You can't just do one thing. You have responsibilities, and one of that is protecting the people. You pick Levi, save 1 person, or save a lot more than a million. You're dismissed" He looked at me with such seriousness, literally telling me to pick wisely. I got out of his office and went straight to mine
