Chapter 9

It was finally 7:30 and I sat in the living room listening attentively for any car stopping in front of my house. Amanda and Kath were raiding my kitchen and chatting loudly about what they think Saundro looks like and how he is, although I already told them about him.

I was beyond nervous as I was literally shaking in my seat.

Amanda and Kath then walked into the living room laughing. I looked up at them and asked what they are laughing at. Amanda then said

"Oh nothing. Just that Kath and I were talking about how we're gonna torture this Saundro guy if he breaks your heart."

"Yeah. I said that I'd cut his nuts off and watch him bleed out slowly and Amanda said she'd put him in a garbage bag or body bag or some sorts of bag and suck the air out of it and make him suffocate."
They both started laughing.

"You know, I really think you both are crazy and should be in a mental asylum."

"Oh shush." Amanda said playfully hitting my shoulder. "We're just lightening up the mood. We can tell your nervous."

"Yeah and we just wanted to cool your nerves before mystery boy comes."

"Gosh you guys are the best.......... but talking about how you're gonna kill ... oh sorry.... torture my new boyfriend isn't exactly calming me down. Just making me get more worried about you guys."

"AMANDA!! SHE'S GETTING SOFT ON US!" Kath shouted to Amanda (although she was right beside me as they both sandwiched me on the sofa).

"IKR!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO OUR MIA!"

They both started fake crying.
I stared at one friend to the other. They were hopeless.
I laughed.

"I'm right here guys."

"NO YOU'RE NOT!" Kath faked wallowed.

"YEAH. IF YOU WERE YOU WOULD HAVE LAUGH AT OUR JOKE AND EVEN TELL US HOW YOU'D TORTURE THE PERSON TOO!" Amanda fake cried.

Well they do have a point. Maybe I am falling for Saundro really hard and fast.

As I was thinking that, a car stoped I front of my house. Everyone then went dead silent.

"The thief is here." Kath said looking at Amanda.

I quickly got up from the sofa and dashed to the window, almost tripping over my own feet.
I saw Saundro walking up my driveway. I dashed to the door just in time as he rang the door bell. I held on to the door handle for support and calmed down my uneven breathing. Amanda and Kath came right behind me, eager to see the mystery boy.

I opened the door and saw Saundro standing nervously on the other side with some flowers in his hand. He smiled at me and looked at my attire.

"Wow Mia. You look beautiful."

I blushed and said a silent thank you and took the flowers.

"Oye mate, who the bogger are you?" Kath said with a fake British accent.

I internally face palmed myself.
Kath then dragged him inside the house.

"Kath, wait stop."

"Oh I will. Right after I ask him some questions." She said with a sly smile.

I looked at Amanda for help, who was standing behind me with a hand on her chin as if she was in deep thought, starring at Saundro.

"Amanda help." I pleaded.

"Help mate? Oh sorry I can't help you there." She laughed.

I face palm myself.

"So, is your name Saundro for real?"
