Chapter 2

"YOU LITTLE CHIMPANZEE!!"
Kath came screening at me.
We were in the school library and everyone was looking at her and me.
"HOW COULD YOU LEAVE US!!
WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE US!!!"

I started laughing at her on full volume after that comment. Then I stopped because the librarian was telling us to shout up. But in a polite way.

"I got this picture in my room and it kills me but I don't need a picture of my mom I need the real thing......." I started rapping the lyrics for the second verse for NF song, How could you leave us. (Who is my favourite artist.)
"......Now our relationship is  something we would never have, why do I feel like I lost something that I never had.
You should have been there when I grat........." I was cut off by kath singing the chorus of the song.
"WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE US!! WHY  WOULD YOU LEAVE US!!!
HOW COULD YOU LEAVE US YEAH!!
HOW COULD YOU LEAVE US!!!
WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE US!! OH YEAH!!!"
She shout sing on the top of her voice.
"That's it. Both of you out." The librarian said getting up and stomping over to our table.
She dragged us, well me out of my chair, and pushed us both out the door. The whole time kath was shouting 'THANK YOU ALL!! I LOVE YOU ALL! YOU'RE MY DEAREST FANS!' and blowing kisses to random kids. I couldn't even speak. I was too busy laughing my ass off.
Miss. Ugly duckling, I mean Daily, pushed us out and said,
"I don't want to see you guys in my library again!"
It wasn't the first time she said that to us and it sure won't be the last time either.

"What library? You owned a library? How much did you pay for it? How comes its on/in the school? Do you pay rent? Did you build it on the school? Does the principal know you 'own' a library here?" I asked her as she refrain the library as her own.

She was bewildered. I could tell by the expression on her face.

"Just go to class."
"But the teacher isn't here."  Kath said.
"Then got to your class and study."
"But the students are making a lot of noise." I said.
"Then go somewhere else."
"We did. We came here and you kicked us out." Kath said.
"Well go to your class and there you can sing and rap all you want."
"She has a point."
"Yeah Mia, she does."
"Okay. But if the principal comes and give us detention, I'm gonna say that you gave us permission." I said.
"What?! I didn't say..."
"Bye Ugly, I mean Miss. Daily."
We ran off before she could say anything else. We ran down the hall laughing our buts off and into the noisy class room.

"Yow! Sup peeps!" Kath said.
"Sup Katherine." A reddish orang hair dude said.
"Hey people!" I said.
"Sup Mia!" A black hair dude said.
It's funny, they know our names but we, well I don't know theirs.

"Mia oh Mia." Justin said, appearing out of thin air. Oh crap.
"And looky here. Katherine too."
"You caught me yesterday Justin."
"I did? Oh yes I did. How do you like your smoothy on your head?" He said with a smirk.
Kath just rolled her eyes.
"At least you did it to me at home."
"Why? You wanted me to do it in public?"
"H- to the n- to the o."
"H-n-o?"
"Hell no."
I decided that since they were talking, I'll just take this time to back up and try to slip away from them.
"Oh." Justin said. "Well I don't speak girl so."
"I'll get you back. I promise you that."
"Okay. What evs."
"HAH! You do speak girl."
"No I don't."
"Yes you do. Mia didn't he just..." kath stopped talking when she realized that I wasn't beside her anymore.
"Mia, where you going?"
"Hhmm? Oh nowhere." I said, about an arms length from the door.
"If your running away from me, that's unnecessary. Cause I'm not gonna do anything to you."
"You promise?"
"Well I'm not gonna do anything to you just yet."
I raised my left eye brow at his comment.
"I got some news for you fam."
Interested, I walked back to them.
"Continue."
"Well, I'm coming to the family trip with you to JAMAICA!!!"
"WHAT!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"
I yelled. Not scream, yelled. Everyone and everything just stopped abruptly and everyone turned around and starred at me.
"Sorry. Nothing to see here. Continue doing what you're doing." I said, shewing the crowd away.
"Talking about trips, I have to make a phone call." Kath said walking out of the class.
"Why, why, why, why!"
"I asked mom. She said yes. And I've been getting good grades so I had to come."
"But why Jamaica? Couldn't you pick another country like Barbados or St. Lucia?"
"Nope. I went to Barbados last year and St. Lucia the other year."
"But you never come to Jamaica." Every year when we go to Jamaica, Justin never ever comes with us. He's always on different trips with his mom. I liked it that way because I would get a room for myself and the shower and oh did I mention that he always bring one of his 'buddies' to His trips. No? Oh well.
"Just think about it. We can talk, play, go to clubs, hang out with each other."
"Are you bringing one of your buddies?"
"Yeah actually."
"Oh great." I said, the sarcasm dripping from my comment.
"Don't worry. Its Leonardo."
"WHAT!! Oh great more trouble."
"We're not gonna make trouble. Well not big trouble."
"No, no, no. My holiday is ruin."
"Well, your dad said we can come and his parents said he can come and my mom said I can come, so we're coming.'' He said giving me a evil smirk.
"Fine. Then I'm bringing some body too." I said, duplicating his smirk.
At the same time Kath came back in.
"Great news guys, mom said I can go anywhere I want to go for the holiday."
"Great! Can you come to Jamaica with me and my fam?"
"Sure."
"Oh God thank you so much." I said giving her a bear hug.
"What's the problem? What did I miss?"
"Justin is coming and he's bringing Leonardo."
"Great. I can beat them up now. Sweet."
I stood there, looking at my best friend like she's crazy, with my mouth open.

Ring, ring, ring

It was lunch time. I shook my head then said,
"You know what, I'm hungry so I'm gonna go get something to eat." 
I turned around and walked out of the classroom and hurried to the cafeteria. I got a burger and an orang juice and went to our usual table. Saundra and Khadejah were there all ready. Jody wasn't and Amanda was sick.

I told them what happen, and they all laughed at me.
"What's so funny? This is a national emergency."
"Your over reacting." Khadejah said.
"Yeah. Your taking this too seriously. Its just for the holiday." Saundra said.
"Hmmm. I think you guys are right."
"You bet we are. BTW, where's Justin and Katherine?"
"I heard kath said she's going to 'powder her nose' and Justin just ran in the other direction. Come to think of it, where's Leonardo?"
"Don't know." Khadejah said and Saundra just shrugged her shoulders. 
We brushed the matter aside and talked about silly things until Leonardo walked in with Jody. 
Once upon a time they were together. But they broke up.

Twice.

But I'm gonna be truthful. I've liked Leonardo from the first time I met him. He's my boy best friend and we know everything about each other. I talked to kath about it and she said I should tell him. So I told him.
Fortunately, we saw eye to eye. I don't want a boyfriend right now, and he doesn't want me to be his girlfriend after what happened with his last girl best friend. And I completely honour his wishes.

"Mia, Mia, MIA!!" I heard kath shout my name. 
"Hmmm. Yes. Umm. I didn't do it."
"I know you didn't do anything. I'm asking you if you're okay? I came like five minutes ago and was talking to you but you never respond."
"Oh. Sorry. Yeah I'm fine."
"I know you were starring at Leonardo. Do you still have feelings for him?" She whispered in my ear. Kath is the only person, aside from Leonardo, who knows that I like him.
"Oh. I just drifted off in my thoughts and memories. I'm okay and no, I don't have feelings for him anymore. That boat has sailed off a long time ago."
To her, I sounded sure of it. But inside I knew that was a lie.
"You sure?"
"Yeah. I'm sure."
"Okay."
Jody and Leonardo came and sat beside us.
We ate our lunches in silence. When I was finish, I got up and left.
Leonardo was coming on the trip with us. Well at least I will have Kath there for support.
