Chapter 1

"Its the last week in school and I'm soooooo EXCITED!!!" My best friend Katherine said excitedly.
"I know right." I said, with less enthusiasm than
her.

It was the last week of school (as Kath already said) and the greatest, most exciting, most eventful holiday is right around the bend.
My favourite holiday.
The longest holiday.
The hottest holiday. (Both temperature and boys (and girls for all the men out there)).

SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm siked to see what it brings with its heat and events. Usually I would go to the beach, then I would take my usual family trip, with my family ovi, to Jamaica. I know what your thinking,

Jamaica's so hot yearly and burning hot in the summer.

Yeah but your forgetting a few things.
Your forgetting its beautiful white sand beach, with the sea breeze blowing the water and making it spray on your face.

The trees that hang over your head, shading you from the sun.

The different juicy, tropical fruits.

The cold drinks that cools you down.

The wonderful sea that is so refreshing to swim in and takes off the heat off of your body.

Those are just a few things about Jamaica that I love so much and makes me look forward to going there.

Ring, ring, ring.

The bell rang, bringing me out of my trance.

"Well see you later." I told Kath
"Bye Mia. See you later." Kath said walking off.

Oh forgive me for not introducing myself to you.
My name is Mia Lorenzo and I'm 16 years old. That was Katherine, my best friend. I have long, straight, jet black hair with green eyes. Kath has curly brown hair with sky blue eyes. We've been bff since forever. She lives right next to me and our families are close too.

I turned around and walked to my first class......

Its not that I don't like English per say but I just haven finish my home work as yet. I walked into the class room and went straight to the back of the class and sat beside the window. Couple of people came in and took their seats in front of me. Then my cousin, Justin, came in and instantly started smiling when he saw me. He came and sat at the back with me.

"Sup fam." He said.
"Nothing fam."
"Did your home work?"
"Some parts. Can't think of a ending for the story."
"What's your story title?"
"The unexpected betrayal.'' I said looking at him intently.
"Nice title. Mine is The Unexpected End."
"That sounds interesting. Sounds like something I would read."
"Yeah, I know, I'm awesome."
"I never said that."
"But you thought it."
I rolled my eyes at his comment.
"Not even once."
"Oh. Your hurting my feelings fam." He faked hurt as he put his hand over his heart.
"You have feelings!" I exclaimed.

Before he could comment, Mrs. Boring, I mean Boiying walked into the class and everyone fell silent. I looked over to Justin with a victorious smirk on my lips. Justin looked back at me with an expression that says 'next time'. I only smile at him innocently then stick my tongue out at him. He laughed in reply.

We turned around and paid attention to Mrs. Boring, I mean Boiying.

Hours past and finally it was lunch time. I walked into the cafeteria and instantly saw all my friends.

Katherine. You already know her.
Jody. Who has long strawberry hair with brown eyes.
Saundra. Who has beautiful caramel eyes and shoulder length blond hair.
Amanda. Who has curly brown hair with red highlight and brown eyes.
Khadejah. Who has long, beautiful, flowing black hair and forest green eyes. (I really love looking in her eyes. No homo though.)
Justin. Who has curly black hair and electrifying blue eyes.
And finally,
Leonardo. Who has shaggy, soft brown hair with mesmerizing grey eyes.

I walked up to our table and was instantly engulfed in hugs from Jody, Saundra and Katherine. The guys were busy doing their guys stuff.
We got our lunches and ate it as quick as we could. (Justin dared us. So it's either that our punches.)

Me, Katherine and Saundra almost chock on our pizza and Leonardo finished his in about three bites. Justin was the only one eating at normal pace.

He even tried to tease us too. So I took it up on me to throw my half finish pizza at his big, cocky head.
I missed of course. But Katherine threw hers, then Jody, then Saundra. We laughed as all the cheese and sauce splashed Justin's clothes and face. He gave us all death glares and started chasing us all over the cafeteria. We ran out and down the hall with Justin hot on our heels and dashed to the right as we threw our selves into the girls bathroom.

"You can't come in here Justi-poo. Only if you're a girl." I said with a smirk.
"Yeah, well you can't live in there Mi-poo, I mean Mia-poo. None of you can." He said. Shouting the last part.

I heard his footsteps stamp away. But just to be sure, we waited until lunch was up. When we heard the bell we dashed to our classes, which were different class of course. When I entered mine, I hide under the table, (just in case Justin pokes his head in the classroom looking for me), until the teacher came in, giving some lame excuse about how I was taking up my pen or something.

I continued this until school ended and I was safe in my car, on my way home. I'm not sure if Justin got anyone else, but I was safe. I decided to call them later.

This was my life and I loved it. I didn't want anyone to leave and absolutely no one to come. But that wasn't my faith and unfortunately, my summer never went the way it use to.

But that was my future, and I was only concerned about my present.
