CHAPTER 14

"Hindi kumpleto ang mga gamit namin." Kairos shrugged and get his bag.

Nilapag niya ito sa lamesa, sa harapan ng mga lalaki at pinakita ang kanyang mga gamit. They look at him, shock.

"How the heck did you get those?! It's for the scientists only." Manghang tanong ng isa sa mga doctor habang nakaduro sa mga kagamitan niya.

He smirked, "I'm not just a doctor," he arranged his things while the four doctors are just looking at him. "I'm a million dollar paid scientist."

Christine/Avienna chuckle while shaking her head at her husband. Hinawakan niya ang malaking tiyan at naglakad patungo sa asawang inaayos ang mga gamit niya galing sa sariling laboratory.

"Yabang na 'tin, ah?" Napalingon sa kanya ang asawa at ngumiti.

He immediately walk closer to her and kiss her lips in front of the boys who's just averting their gaze and leave them both. Bukas pa naman sila magsisimula sa antidote, gabi na rin kasi at kailangan na ni Avi/Tine ng pahinga.

"What will happen after the antidote is made?" Tanong ni Avi/Tine sa asawa ng makahiga sila.

"Magiging maayos na ang lahat. Hopefully." Alangang sabi ni Kairos. May tiwala naman siya sa mga katulong niyang gumawa ng antidote pero hindi naman natatapos ang lahat sa pagkadiskubre lang ng gamot.

"What do you mean hopefully? You're not sure if the antidote is gonna be the answer to all of our problems right now? You're not sure if it's really the key to end this?" Tanong ni Avi/Tine. She thought, the antidote is gonna be the key to all of their problems.

"Avi, kahit na matapos ang antidote, poproblemahin pa rin natin ang pagbibigay non sa mga tao at pagpapabalik ng mga zombie sa pagiging tao. Our problem doesn't just end by creating the antidote. We need to successfully use it to really win this zombie pandemic." Pagpapaliwanag ni Kairos sa asawa habang nakayakap sila sa isa't-isa pero iniingatan din nilang hindi maipit ang bata sa posisyon nila.

Antidote administration may not only result in the reduction of free or active toxin level, but also in the mitigation of end-organ effects of the toxin by mechanisms that include competitive inhibition, receptor blockade or direct antagonism of the toxin

"Ang dami pa palang gagawin kahit na matapos niyo pa ng mabilis ang antidote." Avi/Time sighed when she realized that finding a cure is not really the end of everything. It's just like the beginning of the end.

"Don't think about it too much,baby. Just focus on our baby." Sabi ni Kairos na nakapag pangiti sa kanya.

My always caring husband. I bet he's gonna be a good father.

"Okay. I'll sleep now." Sabi ni Avi/Tine ng maalala niyang kailangan na niyang magpahinga dahil buntis siya. Lalo pa't malapit na siyang manganak.

"I love you. Sweet dreams, my love." Kairos smiled and kissed her on the lips.

"I love you too." Naghihikab na sabi ni Avi/Tine at maya maya lang ay nakatulog na.

Such a lovely wife. I bet she's gonna be a good mother to our child.

Kahit tulog na ang asawa, gising na gising pa rin si Kairos dahil sa mga tanong sa utak niya.

Magtatagumpay ba sila sa paggawa nito?
Kung matapos nga nila ang antidote, pano nila iyon ibibigay sa mga tao? Makagawa kaya sila agad ng sapat na dami nito para sa lahat? Ilang oras, araw, buwan o taon ba ang aabutin bago sila makagawa ng antidote?

His anxiety is strong, but the will to make a better and safe world for his wife and child is stronger.

"Don't worry, baby. I'll do my best to make a better and safe world for the both of you." Kairos said and kissed Avi/Tine's forehead the caressed her tummy before going to sleep.
