CHAPTER 9

Shaina put her gun on the holster and a sword in the other side of her waist. They are going to monitor the area with the boys, Sheila and Althea.

"You ready, babe?" She nodded and accept Lexxus' hand.

Sabay silang lumabas sa opisina at lumabas headquarters. Kaagad bumungad sa kanila ang nagtatakbuhang Zombies papunta sa kanilang direksiyon pero kaagad ring natumba dahil sa glass na nakaharang.

"Where are the others?" Shaina asked while walking with him.

Tumikhim siya at tinuro ang ang likuran niya. She saw them, arguing and teasing each other making her smile while shaking her head. For the past months, they accepted them wholeheartedly and it makes her happy.

Nagtakbuhan pa silang lahat, sinusundan tuloy sila ng mga zombie na parang tanga. Napailing nalang si Shaina at sumabay ng lakad kay Lexxus na nalayo na pala sa kanya. She was observing the zombies when she notice a small crack above the glass.

Lumapit siya dito at nakumpirma na crack nga ito. She hurriedly went to Lexxus but he's nowhere to be seen. Nag-alala siya ba baka mag-crack ang glass at tuluyan na silang pasukin ng mga Zombies. Not now, not in verge of their labor month.

"Shaina? Anong ginagawa mo diyan?" Tumingin siya sa kay Althea na takang nakatingin sa kanya at lumapit.

She pointed the small crack that she noticed. Nanlaki rin ang mata ni Althea at dali-daling tumakbo papunta sa mga kalalakihan. Kaagad silang pumunta papalapit sa kanya.

"We'll talk to Lexxus about it." Seryosong sabi ni Clake at nagpaalam na umalis, naiwan silang nakatitig sa glass.

Then unconsciously, Shaina's eyes went down to the zombies and stilled when she saw the important person in her life, is now one of them. Tumulo ang luha ni Shaina habang naglakad papalapit sa mga Zombies, binalewala ang pagtawag sa kanya ng mga kaibigan.

"A-ate," she sobbed. "b-bakit naging ganyan ka? B-bakit naging isa ka n-na rin sa k-kanila?" Napaluhod siya sa lupa at tuluyan ng humagulhol.

"Babe," she felt two strong arms wrapped around her waist as he guided her to stand up. "what happened baby, hmm?" She hugged Lexxus and cried loudly while pointing the girl who's staring at her.

"Lex, she b-became one of t-them. M-my poor sister." Lexxus kissed her forehead and hugged her tightly and look at the Zombie who's silently staring at her girlfriend.

Pinangko niya ang dalaga at pumasok sa maliit na bahay, naiwan ang mga kasama na takang nakatingin kay Shaina na umiiyak.

"The crack. What are we going to do?" Alalang tanong ni Althea sa tatlong lalaki na nasa harapan.

Nawalan sila ng imik at tanging naririnig lang nila ay mga boses ng Zombies sa labas. They keep monitoring the whole area and went down before sun sets.

"Let's just keep it a secret for now. Gagawa kami ng paraan para maayos ang glass." Tumango silang lima at kanya-kanyang punta sa mga kaibigan.

"YOU sure you want to walk, baby?" Avienna smile and nodded at his husband.

For many months that she's here, her memories are regaining and she's happy because she able to remember her friends for a year of friendship.

Kairos carefully hug her waist to prevent her from falling as his other hand is holding hers gently. He doesn't want to hurt her precious gem, she might break and he doesn't want that.

"Where's ate Roma, Cheska and Zeya?" She ask Shantel softly who's holding her baby bump too.

"In the training room, come with me." She smile when Shantel hold her hand while still holding her baby bump.
