CHAPTER 19

Everything is in chaos so everyone's trying their best to fight for their lives to survive. Zombies were all over the North base and they couldn't do anything but to kill the zombies and run for their life. Everything that they need is already in the choppers, Lexxus team tried to make themselves as bait and lead the zombies in the function hall of the base. While the girls are in the control room readying the circuit breaker to switch on.

"Are you sure that it will work?" Cristalyn asked worriedly.

"Let us pray for it to work then," Clake answered while they are carefully placed the grenades in every corner of the hall.

"If it'll work, we can eliminate only one-fourth of the population. This Pithovirus sibericum, even death won't stop this virus from replicating!" Lexxus interjected.

Everyone was silent and no one dared to talk or answer him, and his aware of that.

"Althea, long nose pliers please," Luis called her, she handed him the pliers not knowing if it's a long nose or side-cutting pliers.

"Longnose ang sabi ko Thea," baling ni Luis sa kanya. "Ito! Ito ang long nose." Pangaral sa kanya ng binata.

"Buti nga dika napa-sana all dyan, boss L." Sagot nya na ipinagtaka ng binata.

"Bakit naman?" Ngumisi sya saka itinuro ang hawak nitong tools, "yan long nose samantalang ikaw flat nose."

Nagtawanan naman ang mga kasama nilang nakarinig ng sinabi ni Thea habang napailing na lang si Luis sa sinabi ng dalaga.

"Kakadikit mo yan kay Sheila, Althea." Sagot ng lalaki.

Napangisi naman si Althea sa narinig. "Ayiehh boss, namimiss mo na 'no?" Singit ni Alexandra sa usapan nila.

"Tumigil ka Alex, pinagselosan ka no'n." Si Nichole habang nakatutok ang atensyon sa kanilang ginagawa.

Ang mga lalaki naman na nakita ang nakangising reaksyon ni Luis ay kinantyawan na sya. " Kinikilig na naman itlog mo, gago!" Singhal sa kanya ni Clake.

"Focus on your work!" Wika ni Lexxus na ikinatahimik nila

"Bitter si boss." Bulong ni Cristalyn sa katabing si Thea.

Umingos lang si Thea at sinamaan ng tingin ang tahimik na si Lexxus. "Bitter! Eh nagpapakasarap nga 'yan."

Natahimik sila sa pagbubulungan ng tumikhim si Nichole na malapit lang rin sa kanila. Althea rolled her eyes on Nichole, she's sure that Nichole supported Lexxus and Aeya's relationship because they're best of friends among all the girls.

They planned to trap the zombies in the hall where lots of grenades, and other explosive devices were installed. They will make themselves as a bait so the zombies will chase after them. They'll be lucky enough if they trap and execute the plans properly. In that way, the zombies' population will lessen to its highest infected rate.

"In my cue," wika ni Charles na nasa kabilang linya. Kinakabahan man ay sinikap ni Nichole na maisaayos at masunod ang mga sinasabi ng lalaki, "press the enter button in access system location tab."

"One," Nichole's trembling hand slowly placed on the enter key.

"Two," the boys were also sweating bullets, ready to run towards the function hall.

Once the system was accesed, the alarm that they set will make a sounds making the zombies try to find where the sounds are coming from, and that's the cue to catch the zombies' attention.

"Three.." Nichole presses the enter button as well as the other girl switching on the circuit breaker.

The sounds of the alarm in the area from the practice room towards the function hall filled their ears.
