Chapter 4: Operation FOWEDASHINSTDOSBIPI
"Flashlight?"
"Check."
"Notebook?"
"Check."
"Camera?"
"Check."
"Black lipstick"?
"On your face."
"Tracie seriously this is an important mission now stop messing around."
She rolled her eyes at me and continued. We had stayed after school to complete the dangerous mission. It's called "Operation FOWEDASHINSTDOSBIP I"
(Finding Out What Ethan Does After School; Hoping It's Not Something Too Dangerous Or Stupid But It Probably Is). Tracie and Kelly suggested that I shorten it to just "Operation Ethan" but I didn't because if Ethan ever found out the name of the operation (which was written on my notebook cover) I wouldn't hear the end of it.
He would go on and on about how he must be the soul and center of my world and that I practically worship him and think about him all day, etc. And trust me that was the last thing I wanted.
"Okay so let's revise the plan. Tracie..."
"We're going to sneak in, well not really considering that we're allowed to be here after school. Anyways we'll find out what Ethan does after school and the rest will depend on that..."
"Elaborate..." I said.
"That's the explanation you gave me." I stared at Tracie to see any signs of lies.
"It's true." Kelly said. Now I knew she was telling the truth because Kelly never lies. Ever. (It was a positive and a negative...)
"Fine whatever let's move." I said traveling from corner to corner, being super ninja like I always was (I mentioned this before didn't I?)
Kelly copied after me but Tracie walked straight out destroying the process. She gave us bored looks.
"Whatever he does after school better be really juicy or else I will murder you both." She said taking a hair clip out of her hair.
"Tracie!" I whisper-yelled. "This is not the time for you to do your hair I asked you to do that before we started this important mission."
"No stupid I'm opening the external door to the girls' locker room so when we enter the gym we don't get caught so easily."
"Oh. Good thinking!" I said while tapping her on the back. "You're doing good soldier."
She grumbled and rolled her eyes at me.
I didn't know about her but I was really into this mission. What happened if Ethan was secretly a geek and stayed after school to L.A.R.P or play chess or something?! Then I could hold it against him and he would leave me alone and plus it would be just plain awesome to know something embarrassing about Ethan.
Do you really want to get rid of Ethan?
Yeah I do, he's annoying.
Are you sure?
"Of course I am! Why would you even ask that?!"
"What?" Kelly and Tracie both said in unison. I hadn't realised that I had just said that out loud.
"Oh nothing just continue with the mission..."
They gave me weird looks, looked at each other, than just shrugged and continued on.
