I woke up with the sound of a beeping monitor. Of course, it's always the first thing you hear when you wake up in a hospital. Too cliché world why couldn't I wake up to something more interesting? I tried getting up but this soaring pain shot through my tigh. Oh yeah I was shot there, I recalled to myself.
I never thought I would say that sentence, ever. I looked to my side at the window of my room and I could see that it was around lunch time.
On the other side of me was a small button, like door bell. It was probably if I needed attending, like now.
A nurse came rushing in with a glass of water. I smiled at her warily. Has she been waiting outside the whole time?
I reluctantly took the glass of water but as soon as the cool liquid started entering my throat I gulped all the rest down.
"Your parents are here so I'll just send them in." The nurse told me quietly I nodded and thanked her for the glass of water (and asked for another one).
My parents then also came rushing in. Has EVERYONE been there the whole time?!
"Oh my baby girl!" Kisses were planted all over my face.
"Come honey get off her." My mom told my dad. Yup you heard that right, my dad was the one smoldering me with kisses.
"Dad I'm find its okay." I assured him with a smile. He sighed in relief.
"You wouldn't believe what we've been through trying to get to the hospital." My mom explained. "You see they had to operate on you right away and they wouldn't me us in--"
"So let me get this straight. You wanted to get in on an operation session?"
"Well you are my daughter. For goodness sakes! And plus the lady was very rude, depsite me being completely civilized." My dad scoffed.
"What I recalled was you trying to strangle your way through all the doctors and nurses." I laughed as my mom shot my dad a glare. My parents were probably the funniest couple I've encountered in my life.
"Mom did you see a boy maybe waiting or something..." I trailed off as my mom's smile grew wider.
"Oh yeah there was a nice boy there last night--Ethan, I think and he wanted to stay until you woke up but we sent him home. The boy was fighting to keep his eyes open." She laughed a little.
Suddenly the door sprang open and there was Ethan. He stood there looking hotter then ever (well that wasn't much different from any other day...). He had on a dark blue plain v-neck t-shirt, an open red and white plaid shirt of which he rolled up the sleeves with all of that he had blue jeans.
You could tell that he didn't bother his hair at all. I winced at the sight of it.
"Sorry am I interrupting?" He asked sheepishly.
"No." Bot my mom and I said. But my dad had the nerve to say yes.
I opened my eyes big and wide as if to tell my dad to be nice. He sighed deeply while getting up from his chair.
"Fine but after you guys talk the police will come in to ask you about what happened that night."
My dad looked straight at Ethan while talking. I think everyone here knew that my dad here was convinced that Ethan was responsible for the whole thing.
Ethan and I both sighed in relief when my dad exited the room. Ethan pulled out a stool next to my bed and sat on it. He sat there staring at me intently with a deep thinking face, like if he was examining me. I cleared my throat feeling cautious which seemed to snap Ethan out of his trance.
"So you told your dad the story and how it was my fault?" Ethan asked.
I gave him a perplexed look. "No. Because that would be lying and it wasn't your fault. I mean how were you supposed to know that the guy would be carrying a gun?"
He laughed lightheartedly. "Okay." He agreed and I grinned.
"Now I believe you have some explaining to do..."
*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
My laughter echoed through the room and Ethan groaned.
"You said you wouldn't laugh."
"I lied!" I tried saying in between breaths but it came out more like a gasp for air.
You wouldn't believe this but Ethan did kind of have a good reason for not getting off the couch that night. Apparently my flirting had gotten him excited and his little friend decided to pay a visit. That's why he put the pillow over his crotch area to keep me from noticing.
"So what I'm hearing..." I started "is that my flirting worked," Ethan rolled his eyes at my sudden boost of confidence that was probably evident on my face and in my smile. "And what I'm also hearing is that y-you l-Iike me too?" Ethan didn't speak but instead crashed his plump lips to mine.
FINALLY the voice in my head spoke which caused me too laugh internally.
The kiss was amazing I loved every second of it. His lips just magically molded perfectly with mine. When parted Ethan whispered in my ear:
"I hope that answers your question." I rolled my eyes and laughed. I pulled him back centimeters from my lips.
"Yes." I whispered back before initiating another kiss.
Then I heard the clearing of a throat. Oh great my dad just walked in on my first kiss.

I've made plenty of new fans and this was an awesome experience. Also there will be a bonus chapter (after the epilogue) where you guys can comment below and pick any chapter and I'll put that chapter in Ethan's point of view!! Oh and the sneak peek to the new book will be in a seperate chapter from the epilogue but will be posed at the same time though...
PS. Remember last time when I talked about a tournament. Yeah?! Well since you guys prayed/wished for me, we made it to regionals (I think?! I'm really bad with the whole national, regionals and all that stuff) so the next update won't be 'til like next next Saturday!! So two weeks but if I can I'll try to do it earlier!! Anyways,
