Chapter 5: Just like the Wolf in Little Red Riding Hood; he was pro.

The awkward silence and tension in the air was thicker than fog at a lagoon or swamp. I kept sneaking glances at him and I could see he was M.A.D: mad. There was no sign or light or sunshine in his face. If looks could kill well I would be seeing the light.

"So why were you there?"

Surprisingly, his voice came out calm which was totally freaking me out. See in all the movies they start calm then lash out and show they're inner tiger. Just like the Wolf in Little Red Riding Hood. He was pro.

"Um well...." I could feel myself heating up I hated being under pressure or maybe I've spent too much time with Kelly and now I can't lie and come up with a decent answer.

I stole another glance at Ethan and he stared back at me. I could see a vein popping out of the side of his head not to big just in the middle.

Is it wrong that I find it totally hot?!

And you say you're not hopeless! Answer his stupid question!

"Well it's a long story-"

"I've got time." I sighed and started making world salad.

"Well it all started when I was on the phone with Tracie and Kelly-you know them right-anyways I was talking about how stupid and annoying you are and then we ended up talking about what you do after school and we decided to start "Operation F.O.W.E.D.A.S.H.I.N.S.T.D.O.S.B.I.P.I" -they said I should shorten it but I was like uh uh 'cause then it would be called "Operation Ethan" and it's not all about you-well maybe it is but doesn't mean that the name has to-so after that argument we went in and then we realized you were normal even cool-which was sadly opposing to my expectations-so I told them to leave but they locked me in-kind of cliché like in all those movie like that cute movie The Parent Trap-oh wait I was deceived by the name nobody actually gets locked in a closet so-"

"Rice cakes where the heck are you going with this?!"

I sighed "I really don't know."

"Okay well look at me in the eyes and shorten it."

I turned to look into his eyes and all I saw was awe and amusement. I was stunned I thought I freaked him out or something.

"Well..." Surprisingly, I wasn't nervous now looking into his eyes it gave me a sense of calm and stability.

"We wanted to find out what you do after school, and I was hoping it would be something embarrassing to hold against you but it wasn't so I told Tracie and Kelly to leave but they locked me in and I went out back to avoid you-but obviously that didn't work-so yeah that's how I ended up there..."

"But your parents haven't taught you not to approach a crowd in an alley or at the back of a building?"

"Sorry I'm not really a ghetto expert that's Tracie's job." I said sarcastically "Why were you fighting the guy anyway?"

"Oh sh-" he turned to me to see me glaring at him. "Oh shoot." I smiled.

"What's wrong?"

"Um nothing." I knew he was lying but I was going to let it go since it looks like a touchy subject.

"Well I'll see you tomorrow." I said unbuckling my seatbelt and getting out of the car. "Hey how do you know where my house is?"

He laughed "I watched you run to somewhere didn't I?!"

I laughed and whispered loud enough so he could hear "Stalker."

"Hey you played one dirty move before; I had all the rights..."
