Ariel's POV:

What do I do!? What do I do!?

Elvin, the man I'm living with, is currently acting like an undead!

I would try a purification spell, if I could, but I'm a Merfolk and our specialty is in water magic!

Ugh! Why am I going to do!?

"Suuuuuu" Elvin moaned as he covered up with his blanket (he made it by finding some silkworms and knitted the silk threads together)

"Su? You want some su?" I asked.

"Sooouuuup." He moaned even more.

"Oh, right, soup, of course, uh, wait, what is soup!?" I shouted as I tried to think of what soup could be.

"Soooouuuuupppp!" Elvin moaned louder.

"Ahhh! Just tell me what it is already!" I ended up shouting by mistake.

Elvin finally quieted down and explained how to make soup.

It's quite convenient that he had all the ingredients prepared, I wonder if he knew something like this would happen?

He might not seem like it, but over the last two months of spending time with him, I've come to realize how well prepared he is.

He even built a place for when one needs to relieve themselves  of the contents in their stomach.

Thinking about everything he's done until now, his honesty up to this point, it gives me a strange feeling, but I can't quite put it into words.

I quickly followed the unusual Elvin's instructions and after an hour I had finally made a "soup".

I did a quick taste test, and well, it wasn't good.

Why the heck did this turn out so bad!?

I followed his instructions precisely!

Determined to not give up, I made several more batches of soup, and each one was better than the last, but they all still tasted quite awful.

Eventually, Elvin came in, unable to bear it anymore, and quickly ate all of the bad soup I had left lying around.

"Wait, don't eat those!" I quickly shouted, but it was too late.

Just then, he patted me on the head with his usual warm smile.

My entire body got hot from him doing that, and I had to quickly go to the outhouse to relieve myself all of a sudden.

Afterwards, Elvin was lying down sleeping peacefully.

Just seeing him like that, for some reason, my heart seemed to melt.

I couldn't help but stare for a few hours while he continued to sleep.

After he woke up from his nap, he was back to being a zombie.

I quickly worked up some soup and gave it to him, this time it tasted a lot better, and I'm not too sure why that is, but it definitely seemed to have had a much better effect than last time.

Within a day, he was back to normal.

"Ugghh!" Unfortunately for me, I seemed to have been infected with the zombie virus.

But, at least Elvin was there to take care, just like I did him.

His soup was the best I've ever had.
