Elvin's POV:
I don't even remember how it got to this point.
It's been a year since I started living in retirement with these three beautiful women.
Who are all my wives.
And now, they've decided to discuss something with me.
"Well, you see. It might be a little obvious, but uh, we're you know. That." Sylvia said while blushing.
"You're what?" I asked, confused.
"You know." Sylvia said while rubbing her belly fat.
"It's perfectly normal if that happens when you over eat a little too much." I said.
All three of them looked like pufferfish as they scowled at me.
"Uh, did I say something wrong? I'm sorry?" I said.
Seriously, I can never understand what these girls are thinking, no matter how much time I spend with them.
"W-W-We're pregnant!" Sylvia suddenly shouted out loud.
I was speechless.
"Don't tell me you thought we were just getting fat?" Ariel asked, a little annoyed.
"Uh, well, I didn't want to be rude or say anything, so..."
"Hmph, idiot." Rozalia said as she crossed her arms and looked away.
I went onto both my knees and apologized.
"I'm so sorry."
"It's all right, we forgive you. Now, what are your thoughts about the babies?" Ariel said sweetly.
"Huh? Oh right. To be honest, I never thought this day would come so soon. But, I'm really happy, and glad too." I said.
The three of them couldn't stop themselves from turning red and smiling.
"Well, what are we gonna name our baby, Elvin?" Ariel said as she rubbed her stomach gently.
"Hmm. How about, Marlin if it's a boy?" I suggested.
"I was thinking maybe Sebastian?" Ariel replied.
"Absolutely not!" I shouted.
"Eh, why?" She asked.
"It's a matter of principals. (and I don't need any weird thoughts in my head)" I answered.
"Then, what about, Nemo!" We both shouted at the same time.
"If it's a girl, then what about naming her, Lake?" Ariel asked.
"That would be a cute name for a cute daughter, is what I think." I replied.
"I guess it's settled then." I said.
"Yep!" Ariel cheered happily as she clapped her hands.
Then, came some weak coughs to the side of us.
"If you two are finished, there's still our babies names to decide." Sylvia said shyly.
"Right, do you have any ideas?" I asked her.
"I thought you were gonna start suggesting?" She said.
"Well, uh..." I couldn't find much of an excuse.
Truth is, I don't know much about Elves from movies, so...
"What about, Legolas if it's a boy?" I said weakly.
"That's such a dumb name, where'd you even get it from?" She asked.
"Uh, LOTR." I responded.
"I have no idea what that is, but it sounds like something that is completely idiotic." She replied.
My pride was hurt. I used to consider that a masterpiece of fiction.
Well, anyway.
"Hmm, what about...Silver for a guy, and Silva for a girl?" I said hesitantly.
"Those are wonderful names! Let's go with that!" Sylvia shouted energetically.
Now I was even more depressed, to think she hated my first suggestion even though I put a lot of thought into it, and then when I just spouted something random out she loved it.
"Last is me!" Rozalia said, puffing out her chest.
Seeing how hard she tries to maintain her pride despite being the smallest of the three, and having cute belly fat, I couldn't help but cheer up a little bit.
"Hm? Are you laughing at me or something?" She said, angrily.
"No! I would never. Anyway, do you have any ideas about what to name the baby?" I asked.
"W-Well, I was thinking about, if it was a boy, then we should name it Gradon! In honor of my great ancestor!" She said, enthusiastically.
"Gradon? (sounds kind of lame) While I think that's a good name, perhaps your ancestor would feel a little awkward about you naming your baby after him after all this time? So why don't we go with something more original, yeah?" I said, trying my hardest to let her down easy.
"Mph, ok, I guess your right. I wouldn't exactly want any of my descendants thousands of years later naming their children after me either. Then, how about for a boy, we name him: Dario?" She replied.
"And what if for a girl, we name her: Daria?" I responded back.
Rozalia seemed content with those names, so I guess that everything was settled then.
four months later, and Ariel gave birth.
two months after that, Sylvia also gave birth.
And finally, after eight months, she finally gave birth.
Nemo, Silver, and Daria were all born into the world, and they were just the cutest things too.
While my retirement wasn't the kind of slow life I wanted, it's definitely fun and enjoyable.
The end.
Author's Note:
I'm aware that this is pretty sudden, and may be a bit unsatisfying as an ending. But, please understand, I've been losing my motivation to write more of this, and figured this was the best way to end it. I'm thankful to those who have read and enjoyed the story all this time, and I sincerely hope you still enjoyed this ending as well.
I may make a few extra chapters in the future, but we shall see.
As for what I'm doing next? I don't know, I have many ideas, but not all of them work out, so I'll see which one ends up gaining attention again.
Thanks for your support!
