Elvin's POV:
"Yes, that should work quite nicely, now I just need to figure out how to implement it...Hm." I pondered as I went over the sketches laid out on the table in front of me.
"What are you doing?" Ariel asked as she came up behind me, staring at the drawings curiously.
"I'm thinking about how to implement a hot springs somewhere around our house. You've been working hard and I'm sure you want some time to relax, so I figured a hot spring would be a good idea." I replied.
"Hot spring? What is that?" Ariel asked.
"It's small body of water that it's incredibly hot, but very relaxing." I explained.
"What!? Who in their right mind would boil themselves alive like that? You humans sure are weird, b-but if you think it'll help me relax, then I guess I could give it a try." She responded in reluctance.
Nice, all I need to do is figure out how I'm going to get this implemented and then what's left is to actually make it.
A month went by and on one particular day, an incident occurred.
Ariel and I were working on raising the farm we had been cultivating for a few months now, when all of a sudden a strange loud noise came from both sides of the forest.
"Human! Don't you dare lay a hand on my daughter!" An old man shouted while being chased by a demon bear.
On the other side, however, a similar but different scene was playing out.
"Stop laying your dirty hands on mother nature!" A familiar half-elf lady was shouting while being chased by another demon bear.
I couldn't help but facepalm as my head began to ache.
"Are you alright, Elvin?" Ariel asked me.
"Yes, just a headache coming along." I replied.
"I know what you mean." She said as she gave a blank look towards the screaming old man.
"I can kind of guess who that is." I said.
"Yeah, but I have no idea who this girl might be, do you perhaps know, hmmm?" Ariel asked me with a frightening look on her face.
Meekly, I replied.
"U-Uh, yes, I do know her sort of, remember when I got lost one day? Well I met her then, though she didn't help me at all and just started attacking me because we were rapidly cutting down the trees in the forest."
"I-I see." She replied with an annoyed look on her face.
Well, it's true what they say, you often hate what you see in the mirror, right?
Aside from that, I decided it would be best to at least get rid of the demon bears, but there seemed to be no need for me to intervene, because...
The moment the half-elf girl and the old man came into contact with each other in front of our log cabin, the two demon bears that were chasing them also ran into each other, and well, things between the two of them seemed to escalate and they quickly went away into the forest, though from time to time the roars of the two bears could be heard in the distance, it seemed like they were enjoying each others company.
After that, was a new problem.
"Who the hell are you!? And why do you reek of the sea!?" The half-elf girl shouted.
"I could say the same to you! Are you that bastard humans wife!? So he's gone and made my poor sweet daughter his concubine!? I will not stand for this! You little brat, get out here now!" The old man shouted furiously.
