Sylvia's POV:
Today is the big day and Ariel was helping me pick out the perfect outfit for the occasion.
As Ariel was helping me putting on my dress, I couldn't help but say a few words.
"I'm sorry." I muttered.
"Don't be. When I found out Elvin was the hero, I realized that something like this would have happened sooner or later. It's not exactly a secret in the human kingdom that he has amassed a near religion of women fawning after him." Ariel replied.
"How would you know about something like that?" I asked casually.
"Oh, I have my ways." Ariel answered mysteriously.
When Ariel gets like this, it's hard to not be scared of her.
With that though, we talked about several things before we had finished putting the finishing touches on my dress.
"Now for the hard part." She said.
I nodded knowing what she meant.
The dragon, Rozalia.
If we want this to be successful, then we need to make sure she doesn't know about it.
Which means we need to somehow sneak past her without her realizing it.
Thankfully she is usually asleep, but we should still be careful.
I already came up with an excuse in case I get caught.
Huhuhu! This dragon would know what really is going on!
After successfully sneaking around the back of the house and meeting Elvin in the front, he lead the way to the location of our date.
I was surprised when he all of a sudden stopped, looked around and then create a portal that showed an entirely different place on the other side.
"This is..." I said surprised.
"Yeah, It's a portal magic I made during my days as the hero. I used to be really obsessed with magic for a few years, which is where I got a bad habit of analyzing unique magics from." He answered shyly.
"I think it's nice that you have something you're passionate about." I replied honestly.
"Thanks!" He said.
"Your welcome, but, if you had something like this, why not use it to let us get to town quicker?" I asked curiously.
"Ah, that's because connecting the two spaces requires a 'marker' of sorts, and there isn't one placed in town. Also, there is little hiding places to do such a thing without seeming shady, so it's better to just walk, no?" He answered while fidgeting around some.
"I see, then let's go." I said, not pressing the matter further.
Elvin trying to hide something is cute, but he really does need to work on it.
I've come to realize that while he doesn't always try to be honest, he has a bad habit of being truthful more than he should.
Well, maybe that's something we can work on another time.
As we walk through the magic portal and end up on the other side, an ocean breeze blows past me and nearly lifts up the hem of my dress.
"Ahh!" I shouted in surprise as I try to hold my dress down.
Elvin simply faced the other direction as this happened.
You should at least try and help me!?
Sigh, nevermind, I get he's just trying not to peek.
