"You're paying me extra for this." Mirage said, unamused.

Kai sighed, "Yeah I know." He responded.

YL was glaring at the two of them. "... I don't like this- not one bit- how dare you tie me to a chair that I can easily escape from because of how loose the naught is- I'm not that dumb. Jeez." YL muttered.

"... Kai you may leave the room." Mirage instructed.

The living room that was connected to the kitchen had been cleared out of people. The only people in the room where now YL and Mirage. And of course Mirage was at the small built in bar at the kitchen, after all it was his favorite thing about the mansion.

YL took that time to easily untie himself.

"Let's get straight to the point- I know you dumbasses are trying to "tame me" and all this shit and I don't like it one bit! So don't expect me to listen to a single thing that you have to say." YL said as he walked over to the bar where Mirage was at while glaring wholes into him.

Mirage just send him an unamused expression. "..." before literally sliding over a dessert plate with a delicious looking slice of chocolate cake on it with ice cream on the side as well. Next to it was a napkin with silverware.

YL perked up at that, before his eyes narrowed in suspicion. He hesitantly sat down at the bar.

Mirage simply smiled before going over to the side of the kitchen and organizing some silverware. "Oh don't be afraid. The cake doesn't bite. I made sure of that." Mirage said as he glanced over at YL.

YL still seemed hesitant. "... Why..?"

"Because why not?" Mirage responds.

YL went quiet, before becoming tense as he suddenly just sat up, about to walk out of the room.

"Throwing my respect and hospitality out the door just like that hm?" Mirage said.

YL froze at that. "... Respect..? You... You respect me..?" YL asked, turning to look back at Mirage.

Mirage looked over at YL. Mirage mentally smirked. Got him~ now I just have to lure him in... Mirage thought to himself. "Well of course. Why wouldn't I?" Mirage responds.

YL hesitantly walked back over, siting down at the bar once again before taking a small bite of the cake. He felt his mouth water as he took the first bite. His eyes widened at how amazing it tasted. He quickly took a few more bites. After a few more bites he looked over at Mirage who was now cleaning the dishes while softly humming to himself.

"Why are you being so nice...?" YL asked confused. He then glared. "Did VK put you up to this?"

Mirage chuckled to himself. "I'd be lying if I said that he had not come to me in need of my assistance...~" Mirage started off.

YL started to become hesitant and tense once again. Man this boy wouldn't put his guard down for anything.

"Although VK isn't exactly someone that I like. Honestly I don't really like the guy at all. When he spoke to me he referred to you as though you where some sort of animal or pet. It rubbed me the wrong way. Despite that, he knew how to sweet talk, to flatter, and to smoothly bring up topics that he needed information on. He's sly... he knows how to get what he wants. And because of that I have ended up here. Now I know many would decline, but I'm not the type who declines an offer just because I don't like the person. Business is business after all~" Mirage explained.

YL had his guard up completely, never letting it down for a second.

Mirage finished doing the dishes before putting them away. He then walks over to the bar table that YL was sitting at and leaned forward, resting his elbows on the bar table. "But I'm not like VK. I don't see people in the same way that he does. I see people as equals. Not as someone who is below me."

YL listened as he went back to eating. He had finished the cake and was now eating the ice cream.  "... So you're going to try to tame me..?" YL asked, looking up at Mirage.

"I suppose that's one way to describe what I'm going to do..." Mirage responded as he fixed and adjusted his necktie.

"... What do you mean by that.?" YL questioned.

"Well you see. I don't think taming is the right word...   Either way, everyone has so far tried the same tactics. Or well... mostly everyone. There are a few who are actually getting close...~ but I won't name those individuals. Now let's see... What has been the most effective hm?"

YL looked at him, "Y-... You're asking me...?" He was confused.

"Well of course. I trust you. If trusting you wasn't the right choice.... then we'll just have to see what consequences await you." Mirage said, his voice going cold. His voice then went back to being friendly and calm. "As I said before I am going to treat you with respect. So answering the question would make my job easier."

"... I..." YL trailed off. His guard was cautiously lowering itself very slowly. "... I don't feel like answering that question... S-...Sorry." YL finally said.

Mirage's long rabbit ears perked up all the way, his eyes widened ever so slightly. That... that sentence. .... it had caught his attention completely.   ... Sorry?...
Mirage looked at YL. Mirage's eyes then softened. "Although that apology wasn't needed, I want to say thank you. That 'sorry' allowed me to realize that you are currently being genuine."

"... Y-.. uh.. Your welcome..." YL mumbles sort of awkwardly. His guard had lowered itself quite a bit now.

Mirage smiled.

YL saw the smile before looking away. "I- I mean- it was nothing- tch-..." He muttered, avoiding eye contact.

Mirage became amused at that. "Mm okay, what ever you say." He said before taking YL's plate since he had finished eating. He walked over to the sink and started washing off the plate.

YL sort of just watched. "... How much does the cake cost..?"

"Hm? Oh don't worry about it. Its on the house. Plus it's not like I'm at my restaurant. Anything I give you here is for free." Mirage explains with a smile as he continues to do the dishes before drying the plate off.

YL let out a very slight annoyed huff. "Still. How much would it usually be?"

"More than you could pay for since last time you came to my restaurant you complained about the appetizers being $200." Mirage said with a smart Alec reply.

YL let out an annoyed growl.

"Why do you even want to know anyway hm?" Mirage asked, turning to look at YL.

YL froze, going quiet at that question. "I- ... I just-... ...... Nevermind. Forget it!" YL huffed.

There was then a silence between the two for a few moments.

"... $560." Mirage said, breaking the silence.

YL perked up at that. "...?"

"The cost that the cake would have been. It's $560." Mirage explained calmly as he put the dishes away.
