Venus, one of Lunista's stepbrothers, was walking through the mansion. "Why the hell is this place so big... How do people even navigate...? Honestly this place could use a map..." Venus mutters to himself quietly.

"Definitely." Venus's older brother, Jackson, agreed with what was said. "It's a great place though, just big, overwhelming."

As the two continued walking, things started to get colder. Venus then stopped walking, glancing around.

"So you sense it too...?" Jackson asked.

Venus nodded his head. "Something's off..." He then started walking in a specific direction, leading into a hallway full of rooms. His brother followed.
Venus walked down the hallway, stopping in front of a certain room, VK's room.

Inside, the sound of Echo worrying could be heard.

Venus swiftly opened the door.

Echo looked over, scared. "W-Who- are y— wait- you're Lunista's step brother..." Echo mumbles. But Venus ignored him as he quickly walked over to VK. VK was.. asleep..

Venus's eyes narrowed. He pulled a syringe out of his pocket.

"H-Hey wait-! W-What are you going t-to do to h-him." Echo stuttered out fearfully.

Venus didn't answer.

Jackson pat Echo on the shoulder. "He's a doctor. Don't worry. He specializes in quirks and abilities and how they affect the human body." Jackson reassures with a smile that looked more like a smirk, he had fangs that made him look like a vampire.

Venus took a sample of VK's blood with the syringe.

Echo had calmed down a bit, watching everything that was happening with great focus.

"It's his quirk..." Venus mumbles. He then noticed something.. He cautiously took off VK's jacket before lifting up his shirt.

Jackson purred at the sight, "Damn~"

Venus lighten up the shirt more to where he could see VK's chest. There was a large ... stap wound?... over his heart. Venus's eyes widened slightly. The stab wound was so deep that you could see VK's bones.... you could see his heart pumping as well. But something was wrong, very wrong. The veins leading up to VK's heart where completely black.

Venus stared, before looking up at Echo. Echo looked horrified. "How long has he had this?" Venus asked.

"I- I'm not sure." Echo responds in complete honesty.

Venus took a sample of the dark substance that seemed to be slowly corrupting VK's heart. He then pulled VK's shirt back down, before looking back at Echo. "Let him rest for now, but let me know if it starts to spread." Venus instructs before walking out of the room.
