Mirage let out a content sigh. He was finally back at his restaurant. Kai had urgently told Mirage to leave the mansion. Mentioning something about it was no longer safe for Mirage to be there. Mirage gladly took that as an invitation to leave that place and to go back to running his restaurant.
Mirage heard the chime of a bell as the front door to the restaurant opened. He sighed. "Can't you read the sign? We're clo— ..." Mirage went silent as he looked up at who it was. "Well~ well~ well~ What brings you here mate?" Mirage asked, accidentally letting the word 'mate' slip out. It was a habit. Ah, gotta love his adorable Australian accent that isn't very noticeable at all.
YL looked over at Mirage. "Look - uh- don't make a big deal out of this and don't read too much into this okay?" YL starts off, avoiding eye contact. He was embarrassed.
Mirage rested his elbows on the bar table while leaning forward, his ears perked forwards towards YL. "I'm listening."
"Well I uh..." YL was having trouble figuring out the right things to say.
The urge to multi-task was creeping up on Mirage as he tried to keep his full attention on YL. But it's hard when Mirage is a bit of a workaholic.
YL stayed quiet before pulling out a bunch of money out of his pocket.
Mirage's attention was no longer on YL as he starts to dust off some of the shelves.
YL walked over before placing the money in the table. "Here.... just.. take it.." YL mumbles, looking off to the side.
"... What it for? I haven't done anything.." Mirage asks curiously, looking over at YL since he had finished dusting off the shelves.
"Okay so not too long ago when I was forced to listen to you about being a good person, you gave me some cake and you said it was $560... And I know you said it was for free... but..." YL rambles before trailing off.
Mirage looked at the yandere deer that kept avoiding eye contact. He then looks at the money. "Just keep it. I'm sure you did a lot of hard work to make that much..." Mirage insists.
"I refuse to take it back. It's yours. So just keep it." YL responded, being stubborn.
"..." Mirage huffed before taking the money and looking through it, counting it up to make sure it was the right amount. He then looked confused as his ears started to perk themselves up. Did I miscount...? He thought to himself before counting through it again. $700?
"Hey uhm... I think you forgot how to count... This is $700. The cake was... much less." Mirage says, looking back at YL."Yeah I know it's $700, and yes I know how to count. I don't see what the problem is." YL mutters.
A sly, smug, smirk forms on Mirage's face. "Are you giving me a tip because you are trying to be nice~?"
YL went quiet at that, "..... Maybe....." He mumbles.
