THE WITNESS {YIZHAN} (COMPLETED ✅✅)

IN THE INTERROGATION ROOM

Inside the interrogation room, Zhan sat with a pouted face. He sat all alone. His belongings were seized up by the police for the investigation needs.

The door behind him creaked open. Zhan turned hus head to the door and he saw the Captain came into the room. He closed the door and walked to the table where Zhan was sitting. He pulled a chair and sat in it. They looked at each other.

"Sir! When are you gonna release me? It's so late already. I need to go home and rest. Tomorrow I have a morning shift. I can get fired if I don't go to work tomorrow!" Zhan ranted and whined at the Captain.

"I will release you when I'm sure you're not a suspect...!" Replied the Captain, calmly.

"What??" Zhan jumped up from his seat. Then he pressed his hands on the table to prop his body that leaning toward the Captain.

"I told you! I'm a witness! Not a suspect! What are you gonna do next??" Zhan shouted at the Captain.

"Mr. Xiao Zhan! This is not the place for you to shout at me. It is my job to interogate you!" Said the Captain, still in a calm but cold tone.

"You can't do this to me! If you insist to do this, I will lost my job! Means you're creating one more jobless men in Beijing!" Zhan snapped.

"No worry. Our office needs more cleaner to do the job....! We can hire you...!" Replied the Captain.

"Janitor?? Do you want me to clean your table and your office? Dream on, Officer!" Zhan glared at the Captain.

"Captain Wang Yibo. That's my title and name....!" Said the Captain.

"Oh? So, you're a Captain? Why do I see you as a cadet?" Sneered Zhan. And he sat back when the Captain gestured him to sit down.

"So...? What are you doing in the neighborhood so late?' the Captain started to investigate Zhan.

"I told you, I  was on my way home from my work place...!" Replied Zhan with a frown on his face.

"What work place?" Asked The Captain again.

"Convection. I'm working as a supervisor there...!" Said Zhan.

"So you understand sewing?" A sly smirk formed in the corned of the Captain's lips slightly.

"Are you making fun of me as a man who knows sewing?' Zhan scowled.

"I'm not making fun of you. I'm investigate you...!" Said the Captain.

"And why are you smiling?"

"Where I got smile? I never smile!"  Denied the Captain.

"I saw just now! Don't try to dodge!"

"Mr. Xiao Zhan! How did you find the murder of the woman?" The Captain quickly turned back to his investigation.

"I was walking in the alley. I know it's a little bit risky to walk in the narrow and dark alley in the night. But that is the only shortcut to get to my house faster. Usually, there is no incident happened except sometimes I saw a couple was making out in there. But just now, when I stepped into the alley, I heard the female was begging for her life to a man. From the conversation I heard, I think the female is a prostitute. Because the man told her that she was worthless because she always offer her body to any men to get some money....! And suddenly she cut the woman. I'm not sure where he cut her, but from the snort she made, I thought he slashed her on her throat....!" Zhan told the Captain the incident he's been witnessed.

He stopped to get some air. He was nervous. And when he was nervous, he has a habit to talk rapidly as what his memory could recall. The Captain furrowed his brows. He was suspected Zhan a little, but he wasn't sure, too.
