Laid Alone

Late at night, I lay here alone,

Thoughts in my head, just a constant moan,

I feel my heartbeat, close my eyes,

Fear for the day I'll finally die.

It may sound deep, but continue to read,

Because honestly it's you I need,

The steady beat of my heart, the glow of the moon,

My eyes are tired, sleep is coming soon.

I have you on my mind, in more ways than one,

"The Book Of Love" is a song that plays and then is gone,

Lyrics, the beat of my heart, the glow of the moon,

All cliche things to write down for a tune.

Truth is, to me you are beautiful, you have a beautiful soul,

You fill that space in my heart, that hole.

This poem is about you, it's for you to read,

It's all about you, no need for greed.

I do care about you, one day you'll see,

How much you truly mean to me,

This may sound like I'm rushing, like I've gone to far,

Sound like a drunk man, pouring his heart out at a bar.

Know that, no matter how many times I say it, it'll still be true,

I love and care about you.

I lie here alone, with the things I've said,

I wish you was lying here with me in my bed.

Not in some sexual way, it'll be loving and nice,

Everything will be peaceful, not even mice,

I hope you enjoy this and it brings a smile to your face,

The one that I love, making my heart mess up it's pace.

Sweet dreams, off you go, a kiss goodnight,

Into a dream world where there is no need to fight.

Be free, have fun, fly to the highest height,

Don't forget, don't let the bed bugs bite.
