READERS POV
I just stared at my door handle, not blinking just standing still. I blinked out of my faze when I heard a knock at my door, maybe it was him. I quickly opened it and saw Pansy.
She stood there looking worried.
"Hey, I'm sorry but I heard from the beginning when he was outside your dorm, I'm so sorry, Y/n." She whispered as she bit down on her lip, worried for my next action.
I rose my hands and opened my mouth but I just started crying, she immediately pulled me in for a hug.
"Love is so stupid." I mumbled into her shoulder, she rubbed a hand up and down my back and sighed.
"Yeah... Don't get mad but you guys will find your way back to each other, you guys are unbreakable even though he's put you through so much, he loves you so much, I can tell." She whispered.
"Everyone thinks he loves me but he doesn't, he can't." I sighed, I leaned back.
"No, he loves you, I can promise you that, he's liked you for years Blaise told me while we were you know... together." She awkwardly chuckled.
I sighed and closed my eyes. "Yeah, Draco told me that when he told me he was in love with me, who would've known but how am I supposed to know he isn't just fooling around?"
"Because, Draco's an asshole and is nothing but honest, the last thing he would do is lie to you, think about it, Y/n. I remember our train ride to fifth year, how he wouldn't stop looking at you while you were asleep, when I tell you he had the cutest smile on his face but once me or Blaise said something, it would drop and he'd give a snarly comment because he feared that you didn't like him back so much he made you hate him. He fears the thought of being like his father. You have changed him in the best way possible... he needs you. He gets jealous when you talk to other boys because he starts to believe they're everything he isn't." She whispered as she kept glancing eye to eye.
"Yeah, and how do you know all of this?" I wrapped my arms around my chest.
"Him and I talk too you know." She smirked.
"Pfft, sure." I looked away.
"Well let's sit down, I'll tell you about all the things he's said about you." She whispered as she pulled me over to my bed.
Once we sat down she began to talk. "I ask him pretty frequently what he likes about you, it's usually, 'oh, well, I like her personality and I do quite like the way she laughs or when she's really focused, she bites down on her quill and drives me insane.'" Pansy chuckled.
"He also told me a few weeks ago how you guys can communicate with each other through your minds, he told me how once he followed you through an empty corridor to try and 'seduce' you but he realized how upset you were with him he'd just play it off with him getting to class."
"Fucking knew it, he was so determined to get to his class." I chuckled but quickly frowned.
"And once-"
"Stop, I've heard enough." I whispered.
"Y/n, come-on..."
"I just need to get my mind off of him."
"How?"
"I need to just take a little walk, I'll be back ok?" I stood up and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Ok, don't be gone too long." She chuckled. I nodded and walked out.
Down the girls corridor stairs into the common room, my eyes landed on platinum blonde hair. Draco looked up, his eyes were puffed and red. I stopped for a second but immediately started to walk again, breaking my gaze from him and leaving.
As I walked to the Gryffindor common room, I wondered why the Greengrasse's weren't bothering me... probably because Astoria is head over heels for me, literally.
I also thought about the Golden Trio.
And the twins.
Mostly about how I wanted to get rid of this fucking mark.
Maybe I could gain trust over them all and ask Granger if she knew how I could break my sire with Voldemort. I could, I really could and I will but the trust isn't just going to come to me.
I'm not siding with the dark side, never in a million years, Hogwarts has saved me from my struggles at home and I won't watch it fall to the ground as everyone is given these horrid marks as well.
I got to the common room and saw the Golden Trio entering, I took a deep breath before I approached them, Ron turned around as his eyes were now the size of family pies.
"Harry... Mione..." His voice breaking in fear. They both turned around.
"Come to call me a mudblood for Malfoy?" Hermione said.
"No, I... um." I didn't know what to say for once I was at loss for words. Thankfully Harry had noticed.
"She's not like the rest of them." He said. "So what's up?"
"I need help but I can't say for what just yet and I also came to apologise." I whispered sounding more fearful than Ron.
"For what exactly?" Hermione snapped as she shifted her weight to one of her legs, arms crossed.
"I don't want to be like them, not like my parents or... can I show you guys something?" What the fuck was I doing?
Ron did a "Ok, we're waiting" type of movement with his hand.
"Not here, no one can see."
"Suppose you can come in but one wrong move, all our wands will be at your throat." Hermione said. I nodded and followed them inside their common room.
It was empty, I followed them to a corner that had multiple red felt chairs along with a fireplace and two thin windows. They all sat down across from the chair I guess I was supposed to sit in so of course, I did. I needed to warm up.
"So, what has you here?" Harry said, Ron still seemed like he was at loss of words.
I looked around and gripped the bottom of my left sleeve, turning my head to the side as I yanked my sleeve up.
Revealing my dark mark.
