13 year old orphan, Aspen is all anyone has talked about. Aspen has had her powers for months and she's out of control. The only ones who can help her is the Avengers.
This is the story of how Aspen became an Avenger and the badass she was meant to...
One morning, on Aspen's birthday, Loki kicked Aspen's door open, scaring her out of her sleep.
"Get up, Aspen", Loki said.
"Did you have to do that?" Aspen asked.
"No, but it was fun", Loki said. He gives her a purple dress.
"Put this on", Loki said.

Aspen walked into the bathroom and puts on the dress. When she came out of the bathroom, Loki stood next to her bedroom door. He looked at her with a small smile.
"You're very beautiful, Aspen", Loki said.
"Thanks", Aspen said.
They walked out of Aspen's room and walked down the hall.
"What's the occasion?" Aspen asked.
"You'll find out soon", Loki said as they walked into the elevator. The door opened when they were on a different floor. Aspen and Loki walked out of the elevator. Loki covered Aspen's eyes.
"Loki, I can't see", Aspen said.
"I'll tell you when you can look", Loki said. He leads Aspen into the kitchen. He takes his hands off Aspen's eyes. Aspen sees all the Avengers, Fury and Hill in the kitchen. Natasha and Wanda held a birthday cake.
"Happy birthday, Aspen", Natasha said.
"Is this all...for me?" Aspen asked in shock. Natasha nodded. Aspen wipes the tears from her face.
"Your eyes didn't turn blue so I'm guessing those are happy tears", Sam says.
"They are. Thank you, guys. I don't know what to say", Aspen said.
"Make a wish, Aspen", Wanda said. Aspen closed her eyes and blew out the candles.

Aspen opened Pietro's gift, which was a riffle. Wanda gave Pietro a stern look. "Pietro Django Maximoff!" Wanda shouted. Everyone grew tense.
"I'm in trouble", Pietro said.
"Uh, kid, let's go", Steve says to Aspen. They both walked onto the balcony while the rest of the Avengers walked out of the room.
Aspen and Steve watched Pietro and Wanda's sibling fight through the glass.
"What do you think they're saying?" Steve asked.
"Let's see", Aspen says as she tries to concentrate. "'You idiot'. 'Piece of shit'. 'You look like it'".
"Okay, now you're making it up", Steve said. Aspen smiles. "Aspen, I want to give you my gift. Let's sit down".
Steve and Aspen sat in the chairs that were on the balcony. "Aspen, after Natasha told us HYDRA was taking you, I quickly got out of the jet. At first, I thought of taking a parachute, but that would've taken so long. I ran after the van, convincing myself that I'd save you, but I failed. I thought I had lost you", Steve said.
"None of it was your fault", Aspen said.
"I want to be there to protect you", Steve said. He grabbed Aspen's hands. "Aspen, will you let me adopt you?"
Aspen looks at Steve in shock. Aspen smiles. "Yes! Yes, please!" Aspen shouted in excitement as she wrapped her arms around Steve.

Aspen, Cal and the Avengers were in the kitchen. As the Avengers ate pieces of the birthday cake, Aspen stood in front of a mirror. Cal opened a small box. Inside of it was a necklace.
"Cal, this is beautiful", Aspen said.
Cal puts the necklace around her neck. Aspen turns around to look at Cal. For the first time, the Avengers saw that her eyes were pink with small black tints.
"I hope those pink eyes means you like it", Cal said.
"I love it. Thank you", Aspen said.
Aspen walked towards the door. She looks back at Cal before she continued.

Aspen went downstairs to the dungeon. She walked towards Tadas's cell. "Happy birthday, Aspen", Tadas said. Aspen smiles at him.
"You knew it was birthday?" Aspen asked.
"Of course", Tadas said.
"Thanks Tadas", Aspen said.
"Call me Thaden. That's my real name", Tadas said.
