Tadas woke up in a cell at Avengers tower the next day. On the other side of the cell was Aspen.
"Where am I?" Tadas asked.
"Avengers compound", Aspen said. "You're a Super Solider, right?"
"I am", Tadas said. "You're Gatlin's daughter?" Aspen was silent. Her eyes turned red.
"Let's get something clear. That man made it clear that he doesn't care what happens to me. And as far as I'm concerned, he doesn't exist. So never referring to me as his daughter", Aspen said in anger.
"Sorry", Tadas said. Aspen's eyes went back to normal when she realized something about Tadas.
"You're too nice to be a HYDRA agent", Aspen said.
"I've been wanting to leave HYDRA for a long time", Tadas said. "Gatlin took me in when I was 10 after my mom died".
"I'm sorry about your mom", Aspen said. "So wait. Are you like, my brother or something".
"In a way, yeah", Tadas said.
"How old are you?" Aspen asked.
"23", Tadas said. "What about you?"
"13. I might be 14, but I don't know when my birthday is", Aspen said. "Can I ask you something?"
"Of course", Tadas says.
"Why did you want to leave HYDRA?" Aspen asked.
"Gatlin took me in when I was 10. He believed that the three of us could be a family. When I saw HYDRA agents do what they do best, I didn't want any part in it. I knew if I said no, they'd kill me", Tadas explained.
"Did he ever mention my mother? Rey Demaris?" Aspen asked.
"I've never heard that name. Sorry", Tadas said.
"I don't want you to be locked in here. Maybe you can join us. We're a great family. I think you'll love it here", Aspen said.
"I'll consider it", Tadas said.
Steve came into the room. Aspen stands up and walked towards Steve. They both walked out of the room.
"Steve, can we keep him?" Aspen asked.
"Seriously?" Steve asked.
"He doesn't want to be with HYDRA. And Gatlin raised him so technically he's my brother. I think he'd make a great Avenger", Aspen said.
"Alright. I'll talk about it with the team. You need to go train with Nat", Steve said. Aspen ran up the stairs. Steve walked behind her.

Later that night, after Aspen fell asleep. Tony called everyone into the lab.
"This better be good, Stark", Loki said.
"Trust me, you'll want to hear this. A week from now, Aspen turns 14. It says it on her certificate", Tony said.
"Tony thinks we should throw a party",Bruce said.
"You think we can pull it off in a week?"Natasha asked.
"Yeah. So start planning, thinking of what you want to give her and me and Brucie will work on the party planning jobs", Tony said.
