19. Asgardian

It had been two months since Aspen's birthday. Steve had adopted her. Everyday, Aspen, Natasha and Wanda collected students for the school and took them to the dorms Aspen and Cal had set up. Since there were only 20 students and 2 out of the 20 students were twins, it didn't take long to gather up all the students. Thaden still stayed in the cell downstairs, but Aspen would visit to keep him company. Sometimes, the Maximoff twins came to keep him company.

Aspen is in her room, setting up her schedule. Tomorrow, the students were going to have their first day of school.

Aspen walked towards the door when she heard a knock. When she opened her door, she saw Loki.

"Stark wants us in the lab. You need to see this", Loki said.

Aspen, Loki, Cal and the Avengers were in the lab. Tony clicked on a file in his computer. The file had Aspen's name on it.

"Why does that file have my name on it?" Aspen asked.

"Earlier this week, me and Banner realized that we don't know your past", Tony said.

"What's there to talk about. I was abandoned. 8 years after my birth, I escaped the cruel orphanage and settled in a abandoned warehouse. I ran, I stole, I broke into places. I was a runaway...ish. When I got these abilities, it was hard to hide", Aspen explained. "Why do you think I always listen to hardknock life?"

"There's more questions though", Tony said. "What happened to your mom, why your parents gave you up, why S.H.E.I.L.D didn't go after you, how did you get your abilities? Perhaps you were supposed to get them. Maybe you had them your whole life. Maybe you're not even human or enhanced or inhuman. Or maybe you were experimented on".

"Well I didn't just magically get them, but that's how I remember it", Aspen said. "I would remember if I was experimented on".

"Would you?" Tony asked.

"Yes, I would!" Aspen shouted. Her eyes turned red. Tony clicked on a video. Aspen looked at the computer screen.

The video showed Aspen laying on a hospital bed, screaming. Four people held her down and two men pointed guns at her. The two men had a HYDRA logo on the back of their jackets.

"Subject 6913 is unstable. There's this energy that's making her crazy", The man behind the camera said.

The camera turned towards a female scientist, who just walked into the room.

"She's unstable because she's experiencing powers that should've came when she was born. She's not human", The female scientist said. The camera shows the women's computer screen.

"What is she then?" The male scientist asked.

"She's Asgardian", The female scientist said. Aspen looks at Thor and Loki. She looks back at the screen.

When there was a scream in the background, the camera pointed towards Aspen, who was running out of the room.

"All units, we have a subject escaping the lab", the scientist shouted behind the camera.

"Turn it off", Aspen said. "Turn it off!" The computer short circuits. Her eyes turned black. Not just the pupil. Both her eyes were fully black.

"Aspen, calm down", Steve said. Aspen's eyes went back to normal. "Your eyes were never like that before".

"I was pissed", Aspen said.

"You're-"

"Asgardian, I know", Aspen cuts off Tony. She looks at Thor. "Is there a chance that you could be my dad? My real dad?"

"No", Thor said. "Is there?"

"No, you idiot. You're not her dad. Any chance you knew someone named Andrea Petrova?" Tony asked.

"Petrova? When I was captured, Da- Gatlin mentioned a woman named Revera Petrova", Aspen said.

"Well, Revera and your mom are sisters. Your mom changed her last name to Damaris so HYDRA wouldn't find her or you. And Andrea is your mom's great grandmother and your great, great grandmother", Tony explained.

"Andrea", Loki said. "Andrea is an old flame of Thor's. They broke up because she had to run away from her cruel father".

"So you were almost Andrea Petrova's baby daddy, who would have Thadden Petrova, who would have Aliya Petrova, who would have Revera Petrova and Rey, who would have Aspen Damaris or Petrova or Rogers", Tony said.

"It seems that way. I wanted to run away with her, but she said her father would kill me", Thor said.

"Wait, Tony, did you say 'Thadden'?" Aspen asked.

"He did".

Everyone turned around to see Thadden standing by the door. "How'd you get out of your cell?" Wanda asked in shock.

Thadden threw something to her feet. It was a bar from his cell, crumpled as if it were made out of paper.

"You're not a Super Solider", Natasha said.

"I'm not. Gatlin didn't know it, but I am Andrea's son and Aspen's great grandfather, Thadden".
