 Hermione's POV

"Potter? Potter is really a champion? He's useless, and he's pretending he didn't? pathetic, even his friends don't want him"

We were at breakfast the next morning, I wasn't paying full attention to the jealous Slytherins around me, I was still trying to figure out what I saw last night and what I am

I looked at the Gryffindor table, sure enough, Weasel and Parkinson were at least 10 seats away from him

"he doesn't deserve it I- mione? Hermione, are you listening?" 

the birds were flying in with mail "what- oh- oh yeah, let me see that" 

I snatched the prophet out of Wren's hands

I wasn't interested in how the whole page was filled with -most likely- lies about Potter, I was interested in the 15th page, and the smallest corner

Magical beings

the next seer/psychic or how you might know the name 'Atropos' has officially been registered, we don't know her name yet but she should be around 14 or 15 now. 

The name 'Atropos' originated from the god of fate, the myth said that she, along with the two other Moirae, decided the fate of every being. 

similar to the god of fortune-telling, they knew most futures.

they can only be females since Atropos was a goddess, not a god. 

They have types of 'visions' or 'trances' these usually either include something that is happening at that moment but she is not around to see it or they can see little bits of the future if they relate to what's happening at that time. 

These women are very rare to come by, and so they have to have these certain specifics

- she must be female

- she has to be one of the relatives of Atropos herself or be a relative of Merlin

- she must have another Atropos in the family line

- lastly, because Atropos had relations with cupid (the god of love), she has to have fallen in love for her powers to work

are you the lost Atropos?

"WREN! Wren look!" I pointed at the page

she skimmed the paper quickly "you- Atropos? Oh my god! This is amazing" 

I stood up quickly and scanned the room for Blaise, he was at the bottom of the table talking with Draco, I ran to him and shoved the paper in his face 

"argh- mione what's this" 

"just read!" he scanned the page, his eyes widening as he read further 

"this- this is what your powers are?" I nodded in yes "wow... YOUR NOT A BORING LOSER ANYMORE" he screamed, causing a lot of heads to turn our way 

"well, I- did you just insult me and compliment me? That's low" I tried pretending to be mad, but I couldn't, I was too happy to have found out this news 

"let me see" Draco read the page, he was trying not to smile, he was still trying to be mad at me as I was him but he read the last line and his half-smile fell "Hermione... you missed something" 

he gave me back the paper and pointed at one last line I hadn't seen

These powers are wonderful, but in relation to what happened to Atropos, the myth said, this girl will not have a good life, her childhood, her fate- it's horrific, she won't even live through to her twenties...
