CHAPTER 62
"Welcome to Hotel Soleil!" Bungad sa akin ng ilang tauhan ng hotel pagkababa ko ng sasakyan.
As a response, I nodded and handed the key to a valet to park my car.
I arrived at the venue ahead of the dinner's scheduled start time, which allowed me to socialize with other guests.
"Mr. Helffrich, good evening! It's wonderful to see you here." A middle-aged man approached me.
"Good evening to you too, Mr. Arcea!" I returned his greeting and shook his hand.
"Ngayon lang ulit kita nakitang um-attend ng dinner? What makes you change your mind and came here?" He inquired, amusement on his face.
"Since the dinner is already scheduled, Mind may as well make a major announcement." Nakangiti kong sabi kaya napangiti na rin siya.
"That, I'm sure, would be fantastic news. I'll hold my breath until then. But I can't believe you kept the university in such good shape at such a young age." I chuckled at how serious he was when he told me that.
"It wasn't simple, but I think I did okay." I told him and gave him a friendly nod.
"Like father, like son. That man always tells me he won't be able to keep the university running, but he did, and it is now one of the best in the country." telling a little of the conversations they had.
"I guess it runs in our blood." Saad ko.
We chuckled together and continued to converse until we parted ways.
After a few minutes, everyone arrived, and guests took their seats, dumating na rin ang pagkain.
Performers began to enter the hall and begin to dance as everyone was busy enjoying their dinner.
The first set performed cultural dance, followed by ballroom, which kept us entertained throughout the night, and numerous artists also performed.
After finishing the dinner I ay hinintay ko lang ang sarili kong maging ready at relax.
Before standing up, inayos ko ang aking sarili so I can proceed to the stage and deliver the big news.
I know that some of them are already aware of the proposal. But this time, I'm going to tell them what's going to happen.
"I hope everybody is having a wonderful evening." Panimula ko mentioning some of the important guests and thanking those who attended.
"Enwa State University will approve one of the Royal Palace's largest proposals tomorrow." Dagdad kong sabi at hindi nakaligtas sa paningin ko ang naging reaksyon nila.
