Connor! Are you alright?" I ask him. I urgently begin to search for scratches or bruises.

"I'm fine Ally, you can stop now-" He says. I stop abruptly and I look at him with a soft expression on my face.

"You really worried me, Connor." I tell him. He raises an eyebrow.

"You? Worried about me?" He asks half sarcastically.

"Yes, I was. That was a shark, Connor! How could I not be worried about you!" I declare. Connor tilts his head to the side, lost in thought. A scar on his cheek catches my eye.

"Where did that come from?" I ask, breaking his train of thought.

"This?" he puts a hand to his cheek.

"Yes, that." I tell him. Connor breathes a sigh and rubs the scar on his forehead.

"When I was younger, my mom, dad, and me were cooking s'mores. It was the Fourth of July. I was around three or four years. At first, it was the time of my life. We went to a packed movie theater, we sat in a park while eating cupcakes and chocolates, and we lit fireworks in celebration. I was so young, yet I remember everything after that. My parents decided to have a bonfire. So, they lit it, and we stayed outside eating s'mores for most of the night. Of course, the conditions weren't that great. The wind remained rapid for most of the day. On one fateful moment, the wind picked up the fire-literally- and next thing I knew, I had burned my left cheek. Of course, time goes by, and nothing much happens. A few days later though, I found out the unexpected. I heard my parents talking in the middle of the night about my dad losing his job, and the fact that they might have needed to divorce. That might have turned into a need, and here I am. The scar still burns into me to this day." He says in a low voice. "Pretty embarrassing isn't it." Connor adds, laughing slightly. I put my hand on top of his hand, as he rubs his scar.

"Not at all." I reply.

"Ehem!" A voice calls behind us. I turn around to see Amethyst looking at me with an amused expression. "Enough, you two lovebirds." She says, stopping abruptly. I can tell that was on purpose, almost expecting a reaction.

I feel my face growing red. Connor continues to look at me with his red eyes. I am almost tempted to return a glance at him, but I hold my gaze on Amethyst. She then takes a breath and continues.

"I hope you're ok, Connor. Rico can get over-the-top sometimes. Now, where is the tiara?" She asks. I blush and I look down at my palm. I sense Connor's gaze harsh on my back.

"Well, I-uh dropped it while trying to save Connor. . ." I admit. The unicorn rolls her eyes.

"Well what are you waiting for? Go get it!" she huffs.

We dive back in and I immediately see it. The gold and silver tiara with ruby and sapphire jewels illuminates the sea bed. I quickly start to swim towards it. I grab it gently, making sure it is safe in my grasp. I then tap Connor on the shoulder, point to the surface, and hop out.

"Here-you-go!" I wheeze, trying to get air into my lungs. I hand the crown over and she tosses me the small bottle with her tail.

"I have only one instruction. Use it when you are in the most danger." she says once she seems satisfied with how clean the tiara is. I can only nod.

Then it hits me. We forgot about Chip, Peanut, and Coco! We must have been gone for hours, considering the change in daylight. They could be worried about us!

"Oh no! Connor, Chip. . . Peanut. . . Coco!" I shout. My eyes widen as I remember.

"Um, we need to get going, Amethyst. Thank you for the potion!" I yowl, rushing out. Connor calls my name, pulling his shirt back on.

"Ally! Wait for me!" He says, only a few feet behind me. I don't stop. What if they left us? I don't think I want to know the answer.
