(This was fun to write, comment what you thought about it :)
1 Month Later:
"NOOOOO!! DON'T MAKE ME GO!!!! NOOOOOO!!!" Denver screamed as she clung to Bruce's leg. "I DON'T WANNA GO!"
"Denver you have to go to school," Bruce told the screaming six year old.
One of the teachers came up to Bruce and crouched down. "Come here sweetie," she cooed, reaching out to pry Denver off of Bruce.
"NO!! DON'T TOUCH ME!" Denver screamed at the teacher. "DON'T MAKE ME GO!!!" And she continued to scream bloody murder, making the teacher back away with wide eyes and a look that said, this is going to be a really rough day.
Sighing Bruce put a hand over his eyes. "Denver, you need to let go, look Dick is being good about it, why can't you be?" Today was the first day of school, and Bruce thought it was going to go smoothly. Dick was going to be in kindergarten with Denver, even though he was a year older than all the other kids. But the school board thought it would be best for him due to the fact that Dick had never been to a actual school.
The two were starting school at the Gotham Academy, where Bruce thought it would be best for the two kids. There was no camera taking pictures, no crazy newspaper people asking Bruce questions about this and that. Ever since he took Dick in, that's all that Denver and Dick had been exposed to, and Bruce didn't like it. But at the moment, Bruce would have rather been swarmed by paparazzi than what he was doing right now.
"Denver Grace Wayne," he threatened his six year old. "Let go or I will... I will..." he looked up at Alfred for some help, but got a shoulder shrug instead. The school staff standing around wasn't much help either, they just stood by and gossiped about the little bratty billionaire girl. Bruce wasn't sure what to say, he had already use every punishment in the book.
No deserts for a week had no effect on Denver. Neither did going to bed early, taking away toys, timeouts, or the spanking spoon. Anyway, Denver broke the spanking spoon when she was pretending to be a rock and roll drummer. So that was out of the picture. "I will come up with something that you won't like if you don't let go," he told his screaming child.
Denver stopped screaming and looked up at Bruce with big sad eyes. Her school uniform was wrinkled, and her pigtails had become uneven with all the screaming. "Daddy," she whispered. "Please don't make me go with them."
Bruce sighed and looked over at the quiet little boy. Dick had been quiet the entire morning, not fussing, doing what he was told. His hair was still neat, his uniform wrinkle free. Dick looked back at Bruce. She's your kid, he seemed to say.
"Denver," Bruce said softly as he peeled her off his leg and held her close to him. "I don't want you to go either, but Daddy's late for work and Granddaddy is busy today." Denver blinked and her little bottom lip quivered. Bruce gently rocked her and set her down on the ground. "Now be a good girl," he told her. "And listen to your teacher."
Denver mumbled, "okay daddy," and slowly walked away. She walked over to Dick and together they walked into the school.
Bruce ran a hand through his hair and he and Alfred got into the car. "That," Bruce muttered. "Was terrible."
"I completely agree Master Bruce," replied Alfred. "But I do recollect that your first day of school was much, much worse."
Bruce scoffed. "Not a chance." Alfred looked back at him, but smiled and started to drive to Wayne Tower.

Denver hated kindergarten. She hated the cheery yellow the walls were painted, and the stupid book the teacher was reading. Everyone knew that Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall and that a cow couldn't really jump over the moon. And since when did dishes run away with spoons?
"Now boys and girls," the teacher smiled falsely. "You may now play with the toys over in the corner, but be nice with them!" Denver winced at how high pitched this ladies voice was. She liked how her daddy spoke better.
All the kids stood and ran over to where the toys were. Denver looked over at Dick, who hadn't said anything all day. "Do you want to play with the sand?" She asked him, only to get a nod in return. The two then stood up and walked over to where three other boys were playing with the sand table.
Denver walked over and ran her hand over the sand. She loved how it felt beneath her hands, and she smiled at Dick. "Do you want to build a sandcastle?" Dick nodded and grabbed one of the buckets and a shovel.
"Hey," one of the boys sneered at Dick. "Why are you playing with a girl?"
Denver wrinkled her nose. She remembered that the boy who was talking was named Zach, and he was mean.
Dick didn't say anything to Zach, just started to fill the bucket with sand.
"Why don't you say anything? Cat got your tongue?" Zach teased.
Dick looked up. "Please stop," he said nicely. The three other boys snickered, and whispered to another.
Zach stuck his tongue out and continued to jeer at Dick. "Where's your dolly? Or do you use Denver's dolls?"
Denver stood up straight and look Zach in the eye. "You should stop it," she told the bratty little boy. "Dick didn't do anything to you!"
Zach walked over and hovered over Denver. "And what are you doing to do about it?" He scoffed.
Dick placed his hand on Denver's shoulder. "Don't do it Dennie," he warned. "Remember what your dad said."
"Yeah Dennie," Zach continued. "Remember what your daddy said!" He started to laugh with his friends.
"Come on Denver," Dick sighed. "Let's go somewhere else."
As the two walked away, Denver could hear Zach whisper, "what a bunch of sissies."
Denver whipped around and raised her fist. "Don't do it Denver," Dick warned. She knew that Daddy would be mad, but this was necessary. She walked over and hit Zach square on the jaw, knocking him over as she hit him.
Zach's eyes widened and he screamed, "Denver hit me!!" And started to fake cry, getting the teachers attention.
"Denver Wayne!" The teacher yelled. Denver cringed and Dick sighed.
Denver's daddy was going to be mad.

Bruce was now sitting in the principals office with Denver to his left, and Dick on his right. As the principal explained the situation to Bruce, he looked over at Denver, who was slumped in her seat.
"Trust me," Bruce said when the principal finished talking. "Denver will be punished."
The principal thanked Bruce for coming and excused them. Denver walked out with shoulders slumped forward, eyes to the ground. Dick looked at Bruce and shook his head. Today hadn't been a good one. As they walked out to the parking lot, Denver noticed something. All the kids getting picked up had a daddy and a mommy. Every. Single. One.
"Daddy," Denver whispered. "I'm sorry."
Bruce sighed and picked her up. "Why did you hit that boy?"
Denver scrunched her eyebrows together. "Because he needed it."
Bruce couldn't help but smile. That's my girl.
