(Really quick, in the last chapter I made a shout out to xYoungxxJusticex and then I got a comment back from them saying something like they hadn't read this book, and I was super confused until I realized that I might have put the wrong username for the shout out... so yeah sorry but I'm pretty sure (unless this is another mistake) the person that left a comment was young_justice and I put the wrong name. but if not I'm sorry and I have no idea who left the nice comment but thank you to that person. So sorry to confuse you, forgive me.)

"Alfred I'm going to bring home a guest for the night, could you set out something for the little guy to eat? Thanks Alfred." Bruce hung up his cell and looked at the two children standing before him. "Have everything?" He asked Dick, who shyly nodded in reply. Then the trio started to walk out to the car. But before Bruce left the tent, the commissioner stopped him one more time.

"Bruce, just a warning, the Child Services might give you a hard time."

Bruce shrugged his shoulders. "What's the worst thing they can do?" Then he left the tent.

Silence filled the car. Bruce looked up from the road quickly to look at the two children in the back seat. Denver was sitting in her car seat, and Dick just stared out the window. Denver shifted in her seat. "Do you like to play games?" She asked the little acrobat. (I have no idea how little kids start conversations, but I was with kindergartens today and one of them literally asked his friend if they liked 'small potatoes'. Which is adorable) Dick looked at her for a second before nodding.

"Daddy and I play hide-and-go-seek sometimes." Denver rambled. "But you can't go in the Bat Cave because that's his special office." She had a very serious tone in her voice. "One day when I'm older I'm gonna be daddy's partner in crime. Right daddy?" She looked up at Bruce.

"Denver, we don't talk about this in front of people other than Alfred remember?" Bruce hoped that Dick wasn't the kind of kid who repeated everything they heard, because now Dick knew that he was Batman.

Dicks eyebrows knitted together. "What's the Bat Cave?"

Before Denver could tell him Bruce interrupted with, "let's talk about it later okay? And don't tell anyone about the Bat Cave please Dick."

Denver squeaked out, "sorry daddy," and changed the subject. "I like elephants. Did you get to play wif the elephants at the circus?"

Dick looked over and smiled faintly. "I got to feed the ones at the circus every day." Denver then started saying how that was, how she would love to feed a elephant, and could Bruce get her one for Christmas.

"Denver we don't have room for an elephant," Bruce watched as Denver's shoulders curled forward in disappointment.

"I'll ask granddaddy if he'll get me one," Denver said. Bruce smiled at the thought of Denver asking Alfred for elephants.

Dick had to keep his jaw shut as he looked at the huge house in front of him. It wasn't even a house, it was more like a castle that was in the book his mother read to him once about kings and queens. This is where these people lived? The doors suddenly opened and a tall, older gentleman with a suit on walked out.

Mr. Wayne looked at the older man. "Alfred, if you could take our young guests bags to one of the guest room that would be great." Dick watched as the old man walked over to him and took his bags from his hands.

"Good evening young sir," the old man greeted. "I do hope you like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches."

The little girl Denver jumped up and down in excitement. "Granddaddy can I have one?" She asked. The old man nodded and she squealed in delight before running into the house.

Dick followed Mr. Wayne into the house and was awed by the furniture inside. As they walked down the hall, they soon came to a kitchen, where a plate of sandwiches was sitting. Denver had one in hand, and she smiled as her father walked in. "You want one?" She asked Dick. He nodded and she grabbed another and handed it to him. Dick took a bite and couldn't help but smile a little.

After a good twenty minutes, Alfred took Dick to a bedroom for him to sleep in. "Would you like any help?" Alfred asked. Dick shook his head. He wanted to be alone for a moment, and Alfred soon left the room. Dick crawled into the bed, but after falling asleep he started to dream. He re-lived the moment of his families death, and while he was sleeping, started to scream. His scream was loud and heart breaking, and it echoed through the manor.

Bruce woke up to the sound of a scream, but it wasn't Denver's. No, Denver's wasn't as bad as the scream Bruce could hear. This scream held pain and sorrow, and Bruce got up and ran to Dick's room. He sprinted down the hall and turned so fast he almost fell. When he reached the room, he wasn't ready for what he saw. There on the bed was Denver, gently stroking Dicks arm. Dick was now softly whimpering, and Denver was saying soft words in his ear.

"Shhh," she whispered. "My Daddy will come soon and you'll be ok." Bruce softly smiled and sat on the edge of the bed. Denver looked up and crawled over to Bruce and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Dickie had a nightmare," she whispered. Bruce nodded and Denver released her grip on his neck.

Bruce then leaned over and pulled Dick close to him. "Do you want to talk about it?" He asked. He could feel tears soaking through his tee-shirt, and Dick buried his face into Bruce's chest.

"N-nn-no," Dick cried. Bruce stroked the top of Dick's fluffy head and rocked gently back and forth.

"Come on," Bruce said as he picked up Dick and started walking. "Let's all go to-"

"DADDY'S ROOM!" (Did anyone else get super pumped when they were little when you got to sleep in your parents bed?) Denver yelled. Bruce turned around and looked at his daughter, who covered her mouth and giggled. "Sorry daddy," she said.

Then the trio walked down the hall and turned left and walked to where Bruce's room was. Denver laughed and jumped up on the bed and burrowed her way under the covers, still laughing. Bruce laid down beside her and placed Dick on the empty side of the bed. "There's no nightmares here," Bruce comforted the little boy. "You can sleep."

Dick sighed with relief and pulled the covers over him, when his head reached the pillow, he started to softly snore. Bruce looked over at Denver, who's eyes held excitement and pure joy. "Daddy, is Dick going to be my brother?" She asked.

Bruce ruffled her hair. "I'm not sure baby girl, we'll see." Then he tucked his arm around her, and the future Batfamily fell asleep.
