" He had a small concussion that I was able to heal, he should wake up... In around half an hour? He also had some nasty-looking, third and second degree burns on his chest and a first-degree on his face. Those on his face will heal perfectly, the second degree burns I should be able to heal mostly, but... The third degree will definitely scar."

Midoriya pursed his lips as he looked over at Bakugo, who was lying on a hospital bed, still in his hero suit. " Thank you, Recovery Girl."

Recovery Girl nodded, " Yes, yes. Oh, to do with your quirk, it should probably be back soon. I didn't find any injuries that would stop your quirk from appearing, so maybe it's a drawback or something. Come back tomorrow if it hasn't. Run along now, though, you should get back to class. I'll send Bakugo straight there once he wakes up."

Midoriya smiled and got up from his own bed, making his way out. He should be able to talk to Bakugo later then.

At this point, Midoriya wasn't really sure what he felt about the blonde. Angry that he bullied in middle school. Sad that they couldn't stay best friends. Guilty that Midoriya had burnt him so badly that there would be scars (though he did feel a little satisfaction for Bakugo's past victims).

Instead, he fixed his mind on what had just happened during the training exercise.

Bakugo didn't answer his questions. Either he didn't have answers, didn't want to appear weak because of those answers, or some other bullshit that bakugo seemed to think. It was hard to blame him, however. He had seen how Mitsuki and Masaru - his parents - along with the people around him treated him. Now, Mitsuki was a good parent, of course. He couldn't tell her how and how not to parent. However, time and time again had he seen her dismiss something that he did, or talk him down and say his accomplishments were only because of the quirk she and Masaru gave him.

They also told him things, like if he wasn't the absolute best, he would fail in life. Or, he wouldn't achieve his dream.

Again, he couldn't tell her how to take care of her son, or judge her for it, but hitting him seemed a little excessive, too. Not to mention that most of his foul language came from her.

All in all, his belief of 'If I'm not the best in everything, my life is immediately shitty and I amount to nothing' was complete and utter bullshit, yet implanted into his mind at the age of five by his own mother - sometimes his teachers and peers, too.

It was clear Bakugo hadn't exactly wanted to pull the pin in his gauntlets - well to him, anyway. His grin was too forced and tight - much unlike his usual feral, careless grin that he wore. Of course, he knew that only because of how much he idolised the older boy, and since they grew up together.

It was also clear that Bakugo would definitely not take his loss well. He'd probably beat himself up over it. No doubt did he think that Midoriya had been looking down on him for the past ten months. That was just his train of thought. A terrible train of thought, but it was there nonetheless.

That was why, Midoriya had to get to Bakugo at some point in the day so that they could--

" Ah, young Midoriya!" a man waved at him and walked over from the room he had just come out of. Midoriya had a good guess it was the staff's room - it said so on a sign.

Midoriya hadn't realised that he had been walking in circles around the UA grounds until the skinny man called out to him. He immediately stiffened; he had once met this stick-like, blonde man on the roof of a building after he had violently crushed his dreams.

All Might- or,,, Skinny Might- was at his side before he could make a run for it.

" Mind if we have a little talk somewhere private?" Skinny All Might continued.
