DIXIE; [forces a smile] im good
NOAH; stop lying.... [says calmly]
DIXIE; she told you?
NOAH; everything [tears up] why dix?
DIXIE; i just don't want to be annoying by complaining all the time [looks away]
NOAH; [tries to lighten the mood] you're in a neck brace dix, you can't exactly look away [laughs]
DIXIE; [looks at him and giggles] im sorry, i know i should have told you the truth but...
NOAH; but what?
DIXIE; you know yourself that you wouldn't have left the room 1 time, if i told you i was in pain?
NOAH; yes i wo-- ok fine [playfully rolls his eyes]
DIXIE; see?! [tears in her eyes from pain]
NOAH; [caresses her face with his hand] what hurts?
DIXIE; m-my head a-and lower back....
NOAH; [kisses her lips] im sorry, im gonna do whatever i can to help you ok?

NOAH; get some rest beautiful!
DIXIE; can you stay with me?
NOAH; [pulls the armchair closer to the side of the bed] im never leaving [kisses her and holds her hand]
DIXIE; [closes her eyes]
NOAH; [waits a few minutes to make sure she is asleep] [kisses her hand] i love you beautiful, you will never understand how much, i wanna marry you and have kids with you and i wanna raise the twins like my own, and i wanna love you till the day i die. if i ever lose you again i will go insane. the amount of space there is for you, in my heart is unimaginable but needless to say you deserve every bit of it. i promise to be with you through everything and anything [kisses her] sleep tight beautiful [smiles and falls asleep in the chair]

[in the waiting room]
DOC; Dixie D'Amelio?
HEIDI; here!
DOC; ok so we reviewed the results of the scan on her spine....
MADI; and...
NATE; what did the results say?
DOC; she was extremely lucky, she didn't do any damage to the spinal cord but she did fracture a disc in her spine, which is causing pain in the arms, legs and even the neck and head
HEIDI; so what happens now?
DOC; we are going to go tell her the news now.... [walks away and into the room]

NOAH&DIXIE; [asleep]
DOC; [clears his throat] excuse me? [politely]
NOAH; [wakes up] oh sorry...
DOC; not a problem sir, i just came in to tell you guys some news on Mrs D'Amelio's injury...
NOAH; [sits up] do i need to wake her?
DOC; yes please if you wouldn't mind...
NOAH; of course not [stands up and kisses her head] hey beautiful.... the doctor is here to give us news on your injury....
