Temptation (complete)

Chapter thirty

You zone out for the rest of the time, thinking about how Peter saved you. You sit on a pile of rubble, tuning out everyone's yelling and bickering. You flash back to Valhalla. You see Loki standing in front of you with his outfit in pure white.

"Loki! Why do you keep giving me visions!?"

"I know you'll miss me, and I can't lose you. I'll visit you every now and again. But one day, these visits will stop, for I will have lost all my power here." Loki tells you.

Tears blur your vision, "You can't leave me. I can't lose you again. I can't. I've lost everything!" You object.

"Darling, you haven't lost everything. You still have Tony, and my brother, and Natasha, and the rest of the Avengers."

"You idiot! You're my everything! You dipshit!" You yell at him.

He smiles, "And you're my everything." He kisses your forehead and you snap back to everyone, injured, and the Eye of Agamotto no longer on Strange's neck.

"What the hell happened!?" You scream.

"We fought Thanos." Tony huffs, "And lost. We needed you. We needed you and you weren't here."

"What? Thanos?! Why didn't you wake me!? I could've killed him!"

"We tried waking you! We tried over and over! You didn't wake!"

You realize that Thanos might've used the reality stone you mess with your little reality in your mind.

"What stones did Thanos have?" You ask quickly.

"Wha-" Tony gets cut off by Strange.

"Power, Space, Reality, Soul, and now, Time."

"He only needs the Mind stone before he succeeds. We need to get to Earth. Now!" You shout, "Strange! Sling Ring me!"

He tosses you his Sling Ring, "Thanks." You start circling your hands and open a portal to Earth. You jump through and land in Wakanda. The home of King T'challa and Princess Shuri. You thought about where you wanted to go. Wherever the Mind Stone is. Vision must be here then. 

You run up to the palace. You slam through the doors and see Wanda with her magic coursing around her hands. She immediately lowers her hands.

"Thanos! He's coming! We have to get all guards to block this room!" You say, after seeing Vision laying on a table.

"What? What do you mean?" Wanda asks.

"We need to make sure that Thanos doesn't get that stone. We need to make sure he can't snap." You explain.

"You look mad." A girl says.

"I'm sorry, may I ask, who are you?" You ask.

"I'm Shuri." She tells you.

"Oh! Um, Princess! I am so sorry for barg-"

"Calm down, it's fine." She smiles.

"Right, anyway! We need all defenses up. Guarding Vision." You order.

"I have a question." Shuri asks, "What's your name?"

"Oh shit! I'm y/n!" You push your hand near her for a handshake, "The Asgardian guardian. Funny play on words right? Wait, am I not allowed to curse in front of royalty?" You stutter.

"The Asgardian guardian?"

"Yeah, uh, I was supposed to protect Asgard. From threats like Thanos. According to Heimdall, I'm supposed to be the most powerful Asgardian." You explain, "I was supposed to protect Thor and Loki. And I-" You stop yourself before tears come to your eyes.

You look out the window and see huge ships land in the woods just outside of Wakanda.

"Um, guys!" You look back to see Wanda walking up next to you.

"Oh my god." She says.

You and Wanda stand there watching the battle unfold while Shuri takes the Mind Stone out of Vision.

"I'm going out there." You say turning to walk away but Wanda grabs your wrist.

"You can't. We need you here."

"And they need me out there." You reply.

You rip your wrist away from her and run out of the palace. You see the minion that Wong cut the hand off of. You run at him, throwing light at him. You jump and land on his shoulders. You use your powers and hit his neck, causing him to fall to the ground, with you colliding with the dirt. You get back up and wipe the dirt out of your eyes. You get hit on the back of the head, pushing you back down. You see Tiger Face holding a spear to your throat.

"What're you waiting for? Finish it. Kill me. Thanos would be proud." You choke.

Then, Steve comes up behind her and hits her with his shield.

"Steve!" You cheer.

"Come on, get up. We're in the middle of a war." He offers his hand.

You take it and get up, "You've got a new suit." He says.

"Yeah. And you got a beard!"

You run to the woods, cause of a gut feeling. You see Thanos.

"Back down little girl." He says in a threatening tone.

"See, I've done this. The whole threatening people bit, the intimidation. I just don't care anymore." You say, as your powers hover around your hands, "Threats only work on people who have something to lose. But me?" You start floating, "I've already lost it all. And you're the one that took it from me." You sneer.

You fly at Thanos, blasting him with your powers, blinded by rage. He uses the Power Stone. He hits you with his gauntlet. You don't flinch. Your eyes glow a brilliant gold as you beat the shit out of Thanos, but then, the Reality Stone glows. You see Loki standing in front of you. You let your guard down and just then, reality snaps back before the last thing you see is a gold fist coming at your face. You fly back into a tree. Laying there on the ground you look up to see Thanos punching his way through the others to get to Vision. I can't let this happen. I won't let this happen again. You get up through the pain and run in front of Wanda destroying Vision.

"You again." He says.

"And now, I'm even more pissed off." You rip a tree from the ground and throw it at him, "You took Loki from me! You took my everything! You will pay for the pain you put me through."

You just keep blasting him, over and over and over keeping him away from Vision and Wanda. You start getting tired but you keep pushing him away because Loki wouldn't have wanted Thanos to wipe out half of the universe. Then he uses all of the Stones in his possession. You get thrown back through the trees this time. Your vision blurs and all you see before passing out is a flash of yellow light.
