Chapter twenty

You get pressed against the seat and suddenly you're in front of Earth.

You mumble, "Holy crap, that's amazing."

You carefully pull a lever and it slowly urges the ship towards Earth.

"Thanks, Loki, not that you can hear me." You murmur.

You hear Loki's voice, "Don't worry darling, I can hear you."

"Loki?!" You shout, shocked.

You look around the ship but you don't see him.

"Where are you?" You ask.

"I'm on Saakar. Somehow I can hear you," Loki replies.

"I'm a telepath, so that might be it. But I don't know." You say.

Suddenly it goes silent. You can't hear Loki anymore.

"Loki? Loki? Loki! Where'd you go?!" You yell.

You feel fear. You're alone, again. He left you again.

"It's fine. I'm fine. I got over him. We're over." You mumble, trying to calm yourself, though it's not working.

You urge closer to Earth. You slowly get faster and faster. Next thing you know you're on Earth, crashed in the ship.

"Shit. Loki's gonna kill me, if I ever see him again, that is." You mumble.

You walk up to the compound.

"Wow, walking is hard." You murmur.

You get to the compound finally. You walk in, looking for Tony, but instead run into Vison, who you've only met a couple of times, but you two hate each other.

"Android. Where's Stark?" You ask.

"I believe he's in the lab." Vision says blandly.

"Bye." You say as you push past him.

You walk to the lab, looking for Tony.

"Stark?!"

"Yeah, kid?" He says from behind you.

"Oh my god! Stark! You need to stop doing that!" You say.

"Right, sorry. What'd you need?"

"Where's Steve?"

"An outlaw."

"What?! How long was I off-world!?" You shout.

"What? Hold on, you've been in space for those weeks?"

"Weeks?"

"Yeah, weeks. Lagos happened. Now Steve is an outlaw because he refuses to sign the Sokovia accords."

"What happened in Lagos?!" You ask.

"Wanda blew it up."

"Holy shit! Have you been to Germany yet?"

"Yet?"

"Oh, so you haven't. I saw a vision of you at an airport in Germany." You explain.

"What happened in Germany?"

"Um, I didn't make it that far." You lie. You saw everything, "So, what are the Sokovia accords?"

"Um, it's a book that you sign and it gives the government the right to call you in on missions instead of us going in, uninvited."

"Right. And why did this happen?"

"Wanda blew up Lagos."

"Hm."

"Oh, and you should sign the accords."

"Oh no. Um, that's not something I'm doing." You say.

"I wasn't asking."

"I am not signing away my powers to the government and you aren't changing my mind."

"Fine. That means you'll have to be put in a cell." Tony says.

"That's not happening either." You state.

"Sign the accords or go to prison."

"Fine! I'll sign the god damn accords!" You say.

"Alright. Come with me." Tony says, motioning for you to follow him.

You follow him to a room with a large table and glass walls. On the table is a large paper book that reads "the Sokovia Accords". You walk over to the book and Tony hands you a pen. You open the book and turn all the way to the back, where you see five signatures. You read them. You see Vision's, Tony's, Natasha's, someone named Peter's, and one that says T'challa. You take the pen and start writing your name. You stop before you write. You start writing, but not your name. You write Kiss my ass. You put the pen down, close the book, and walk out before Tony reads what you wrote. You run out of the building and run out of view of the compound before Tony can catch you. You try to walk back to the city but you get lost.

"Crap." You say.

You close your eyes and trust your instincts. You retrace your steps, praying you'll find some sign of civilization. After about an hour you finally reach a city. You go to the first hotel you see and book a room. You realize you don't have any cash.

"I am so sorry. I don't have my wallet." You say to the man at the front desk.

You walk out of the lobby. You walk back out on the street and you turn left but bump into a man in a blue cap and a hoodie.

"Oh shit! I am so sorry!" You apologize.

"No problem." The man says, with his head lowered. He walks off.

You realize that was Steve's voice.

"Wait! It's me!" You say running after him.

"I know." You hear him say.

You grab his wrist.

"I'm on the run now too, Rogers." You whisper.

He grabs you and pulls you into an alley. He pushes you against the wall.

"Prove it." He says.

"I just got away from the compound after writing "Kiss my ass" on the accords." You explain.

"That's funny. But how can I trust you?"

"Pat me down, check if I have a bug on me. I don't, dipshit." You say.

Steve starts patting you down.

"Don't be shy." You say smugly.

"Loki's rubbing off on you," Steve says as he stops.

"Nah, I've always been like this." You say.

"Right. I found nothing on you. You're fine." Steve says.

"Alright. Lets go to your hide out!" You say.

"What hide out? I'm on the run, remember?"

"Oh shit, yeah."
