Temptation (complete)

Chapter twenty-five

Suddenly the ship shakes. You pull away from Loki.

"What the hell was that?" You mumble.

"I'm sure it was nothing darling."

You get a flash. You see the entire ship on fire with all the bodies of the Asgardians, and at the center of the chaos, Thor, crying over Loki's cold lifeless body. You flash back to reality.

"We need to get to earth, as soon as possible." You state.

"What?"

"I'll be right back."

You burst out of the restroom and see a large figure. You squint and it seems to be a large purple man, with four other people around him.

"Who the hell are you?" You shout.

Loki comes up behind you. You turn around. His eyes wander up and you see the light drain from them, his happy look disappears and is replaced with a bland look. 

"Who is this?" You mumble.

"You remember the one who threatened me into destroying New York?"

"It's that mother-" You walk up to him, "You know, you put my boyfriend through a shit load of fear." You say to him, him towering over you.

"You are?"

"I'm y/n Hayes, and you are in some deep shit."

Loki grabs your wrist.

The purple man looks upon him.

"Oh, so it's Loki you're talking about."

You square up, ready to destroy this grape.

"You are ridiculously nieve."

"Wanna take that bet you huge grape!" You shout in his face.

He chuckles.

"What're you laughing at?" You threaten.

He hits you across the face, sending you flying. You hit a wall and Loki shouts, "No!"

You get up.

"Well, now you've made me madder than before." You say, glaring.

You fly at him, your eyes filled with rage and gold light. You blast him with energy. You lunge at him but he catches you and slams you on the ground.

"Thanos! Let her go." Loki shouts, "I'll give you whatever you want."

"You have the space stone?"

Thor intervenes, "It was destroyed on Asgard!"

Loki looks worried, the tesseract appears out of thin air in Loki's hand.

"Loki! You idiot!" You yell.

"I'm sorry, y/n."

I can't let this happen. I won't let this happen. You think. You grab Thanos's arm and pray that what happened to the zombie who dropped you off the bridge will happen to him. You hear a sizzling sound. His arm. He screams in pain. You hop up and blast him over and over again. One of his minions comes at you. You blast him back. Turns out the Tesseract was an illusion.

"This, this isn't how I wanted my day to go. I've had to try and kill the goddess of death, I've had to fight a crap ton of zombies, and now, I have to make sure some assholes don't kill my boyfriend. I just want a break!" You yell.

A burst of energy explodes from you. Nothing happens to Thanos. You continue blasting him.

"You're powerful for a little girl."

"I'm not little. I am a grown-ass adult. and you, you are just a little inconvenience, an obstacle, keeping me from a peaceful life with my boyfriend. I will not let you destroy everything I've built!" You shout.

You blast the energy at him even more, throwing him backward. You run up to Loki and slap him.

"I have had to slap you multiple times today. I'm kinda getting sick of it."

Loki smirks at you but it's quickly wiped off.

"What?" You turn around and see Thanos standing in front of you, "Oh, um, hi and bye." You grab Loki and run away from him. Thanos' minion tackles you to the ground.

Suddenly the ship bursts into flames. His minion restrains you. She has black hair, tall, and has black face paint.

"I didn't know this was a state fair, your face paint looks so cute! What are you? A tiger?" You say, sarcastically.

She nudges you with the tip of her spear.

"Okay, right, sorry." You mumble.

Thanos's other minion says, "Hear me and rejoice."

"Oh god." You mumble.

"You have had the privilege of being saved by the great Titan." His minion walks around the bodies of the dead, "You may think this is suffering, no, it is salvation. The universal scales tip toward balance because of your sacrifice. Smile, for even in death you have become children of Thanos."

You look around panicked, your job was to protect those who couldn't protect themselves, and you've failed. 

"I know what it's like to lose. Feel so desperately that you're right, but to fail, nonetheless." Thanos says as he picks up an unconscious Thor by the collar, "It's frightening. Turns the legs to jelly."

"I'll turn you to jelly." You mumble to yourself.

"I ask you to what end? Dread it, run from it, destiny arrives all the same. And now," He walks toward Loki, "And now it's here, or should I say, I am."

You shake, trying to rip free of this woman.

Thanos sets Thor down and pulls his head up.

"You talk too much," Thor says.

"The Tesseract or your brother's head." He continues, "I assume you have a preference."

Loki looks as though he's reverted back to 'destroying New York Loki', "Oh I do. Kill away."

You gasp.

Thanos presses the power stone against Thor's temple. He screeches in pain. You squeeze your eyes shut, so hard when you open them you're seeing stars. After a bit of Thor screaming Loki's eyes fill with sorrow, "Alright! Stop!" He yells.

Loki looks at you. Your eyes are misted with the dust in the air so you can barely see him. You see a blue glow and hear Thor say, "You really are the worst brother."

"We have a Hulk," Loki says.

You hear a lot of commotion. Loki pulls you away from Thanos' minions.

He's cradling you, "I love you, darling. So so so much."

"What?" You say, weakly.

He lays you down gently and walks away, you pass in and out of consciousness. You then hear Loki, choking and saying, "You-will-never-be-a-god." Then a loud thud. You feel the Bifrost shine on you and you and Hulk are on earth.
