Draco and I had just said goodbye to Narccisa on platform 9 ¾. I had noticed the golden trion not far from us. Hermione waved to me while Harry and Ron glared at me before pulling her onto the Hogwarts express.
This made me very confused. I understand Ron behaving like this but I thought Harry and I are okay now. Unless I was right about Ron spying on us that day in Knockturn Alley and he told Harry about it.
I followed Draco onto the train to the compartment we were meeting some of our friends. He led me to a table and had me sit in the booth first across from Pansy and Blaise. The train finally started moving as he sat down next to me.
"What is she doing here?" Pansy hissed out to Draco while glaring at me.
"Nice to see you too Pugface." I sneered at her.
"Seriously, why is she here? Shouldn't she be with Snape at the school?" Pansy ignored me.
"No, she had stayed at the Manor with me while Snape was busy with some stuff." Draco explained to her.
"What?" She looked at us shocked.
"Got a problem?" I asked and she rolled her eyes at me sitting back in the booth sulking.
All of a sudden the compartment filled with black smoke causing Blaise and Draco to stand up quickly as it began to clear up.
"Relax, it's probably just a first year messing around." I said to the two boys looking around. "And you said I'm paranoid Draco."
He rolled his eyes at me as Blaise sat back down.
"Come on Draco. Sit down, we'll be at Hogwarts soon." Pansy said no longer pouting.
Draco sat back down next to me looking a bit annoyed.
"Hogwarts. What a pathetic excuse for a school. I think I'd pitch myself off the astronomy tower if I had to continue for another two years." I flinched at Draco's words remembering that I almost did exactly that just a few months ago.
Draco noticed my reaction grabbing my hand on my lap and whispered a sorry.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Pansy asked kind of concerned.
"Let's just say I don't think you'll see me wasting my time in charms class next year." Blaise snickered at this making Draco even more annoyed. "Amused Blaise? We'll just see who's laughing in the end."
I squeezed his hand that I still held in my lap.
"Calm down Draco." I whispered. He sighed and relaxed a little bit.
I then noticed his eyes go upward looking at something in the storage area above us. The rest of the train ride was normal. Draco chimed into our conversations but I still saw him looking up every once and a while making me confused.
It was pretty dark out once the train stopped at the station. Everyone stood up and started leaving the compartment. Draco let me out of the booth but grabbed my arm before I could leave. He then looked at Blaise and Pansy who were waiting at the door for us.
"You two go on. We've got to check on something." Draco told them.
Pansy rolled her eyes before her and Blaise left the train.
"What's going on?" I asked once everyone was gone.
He grabbed his bag before pushing me towards the door.
"I need you to wait outside for me love, okay." I nodded my head leaving as he closed the door behind me and pulled the blinds down over the window.
