Chapter 45

Voldemort has fully taken over the Ministry. Harry is wanted and there is a pretty hefty reward for his twin, aka me. Harry, Ron and Hermione were spotted at the Ministry not too long ago and had been chased out but no one has seen them since. Muggle-borns are also now treaty fowley, being taken in for questioning and everyone else acting like they aren't witches and wizards but muggles who have taken wands from other witches or wizards.

It's been a month like this and it's still hard getting used to all of this. Especially having been on the Hogwarts express and many of the students not being there making the train feel a bit empty. Well at least the other train compartments do, the Slytherin compartment was as lively as ever. Only a rare few Slytherins were muggle-born, none of whom I knew.

During our voyage to Hogwarts we were stopped by some Death Eaters who searched for Harry but of course they didn't find him. There's still been theories going around on who Harry's twin is, a lot of the other students mainly wanting to find her so they can get the money reward. Others stopped searching, wanting to help keep her safe.

Everyone is now sitting in the great hall, all of us waiting for the sorting ceremony to be done with so that Severus can make his announcements.

The once bright great hall is now dark and gloomy. And just like the train, only the Slytherins are really talking and acting like nothing has changed this year.

I looked over at the Gryffindor table to see Ginny and Neville talking and looking at Draco and I. I waved to them only to receive a glare back which surprised me. I wouldn't have put it past Harry to tell them about us being Death Eaters but I figured he or the order would have told Ginny about me being his twin. But I guess not.

The sorting ceremony finished not long after that. Severus stepped up to the podium causing everyone who had the courage to talk to go silent.

"As you all know, Hogwarts will be different this year." He starts off telling the room. "The staff has changed starting with Professor Slughorn being the head of Slytherin house." Some of the Slytherin table clapped but only a few. "Taking my place as the Dark Arts professor will be Amycus Carrow and his sister Alecto Carrow will be the new Muggles Studies teacher.

The Carrow twins stood up from the professors table for everyone to acknowledge. I immediately recognized them from some of the Death Eater meetings. I was never a fan of them and am not looking forward to having them as professors.

"You glaring at them isn't going to do anything you know." Draco whispered into my ear, scaring me before I turned to look at him.

"You know I don't like them." I whispered back. "I wish Severus had a say in what Death Eaters were going to be the new professors."

"Well sadly he didn't. Just don't get on their bad side." He growled out eyeing the twins. "You know they won't hesitate to torture you, even if they see you as Snape's daughter."

"Can't promise that I won't do anything stupid that will get me on their bad side." He sighed looking back at me.

"That's what I'm afraid of."

Once the feast was over everyone got up from the tables and started heading to their house common rooms. I quickly left Draco and the rest of Slytherin hoping to catch up to my old friends.

"Ginny." I yelled out when I saw her and Neville in the mass of Gryffindors.

They, as well as everyone else, turned to look at me surprised. Ginny glared at me again before turning around.
