Y/N's pov:
I wake up to the annoying alarm I set last night. I try to snooze, but my mom snatches my pearphone.
"I already let you sleep in for 20 minutes. Now get up before I have to drag you out of bed"
My mom's soothing voice made me want to sleep even more. I rubbed my eyes and stood up. I quickly got ready and stormed to the kitchen to eat breakfast. The morning was passing by immensely fast. I thought I'd be excited to go to a new school, but right now, I'm more stressed than anything.
"Not hungry?" my mom asked.
I noticed I was playing around with my food instead of eating it.
"I guess."
"Here, take a few fruits. You can eat them at school if you get your appetite back."
My mom proceeded to stuff my bag with various fruits. I'm glad I have her by my side. I know that even if things go bad at my new school, she will be there to support me.
I looked at the time on my pearphone and realized I have to go. I didn't wanna be late on my first day. I grabbed my car keys and rushed out without a word, leaving a confused look on my mom's face.
I park my car near the school. I try to prepare myself. I'm not ready to step out.
Breathe in, breathe out.
Alright. I'm ready.
I stepped out of my car and made my way to the entrance of the school. The first thing I needed to do was find my locker, so I did exactly that. I saw my locker from a distance. A group of friends were standing next to it, casually socializing. I walked up to my locker and opened it. I stayed silent while putting random shit in there. The group went quiet.
"Y/N?"
I hear a familiar voice call my name. Who could possibly know me here? This is my first time in this school. Besides, I never really had any friends outside my old school.
I finally turned my head to the mystery person.
Holy shit.
It's Jade. Jade West. MY EX.
"Jade.." I managed to mutter something out.
"You guys know each other? That's great!" a short redhead enthusiastically shouts, making my ears hurt.
"Great? Yeah, sure." I reply with a blank face.
The bell rings and interrupts us. Everyone heads to class. Of course, I had the same class as Jade. The universe just hates seeing us apart, doesn't it?
Jade's pov:
Everyone keeps talking about there being a new student at our school. I don't really care about that. I'll be ok with them as long as they aren't annoying like Tori.
I entered Hollywood Arts and walked up to my locker where my... friends... were standing. They were talking about something completely uninteresting to me.
"Jade, look! I think that's the new student. She's coming towards us. Maybe her locker is here." Tori said.
"We should say hi!" Cat continued.
"I don't care." I muttered.
That was true. I didn't care. But I did look at her, I wanted to see what she looked like. As she came closer, I realized she looks familiar.
Holy shit.
It's Y/N. My ex.
She opened her locker and started stuffing her belongings in there.
"Y/N?"
She froze for a few seconds. Did she recognize my voice? She turned her head to me in curiosity. It looked like she just saw a ghost the moment she saw my face. Is she still not over me?... Pfft, whatever. I couldn't care less.
I think.
"Jade.." she finally spoke, although it sounded like the words were struggling to leave her mouth.
"You guys know each other? That's great!"
"Great? Yeah, sure."
Her voice sounded emotionless. I couldn't understand what she was feeling. I couldn't understand what I was feeling either. All I know is that now, Beck isn't my only ex in the school.
The bell rang and interrupted us. Everyone heads to class. Of course, I had the same class as Y/N. The universe just hates seeing us apart, doesn't it?
