Y/N's pov:
Suddenly, I got a text. I looked at my phone and read it.
Tori
"Beck and I have been planning a small trip out of the city for all of us. You wanna come with?"
I figured it wouldn't be too bad to leave for the weekend. I didn't wanna be stuck home, all alone with my mom. A trip with my new friends sounds fun, although I have no idea what we'll be doing. I texted Tori, agreeing to go.
Tori
"Great! Pack your things and be ready at 2 pm tomorrow. See ya soon!"
I went over to the living room to let my mom know that I'll be leaving. She was ok with it, which wasn't surprising. She let me go wherever I wanted, since I was 18. She trusted me. The only thing she expected from me was a text, letting her know I'm fine and safe.
I packed some clothes and other essentials I knew I would need. It was getting late, but I couldn't fall asleep. Random thoughts kept lingering in my mind. The thoughts were mostly about Jade. I was gonna have to spend almost two days with her around constantly. Not gonna lie, I was kind of excited. Thinking about Jade made my blood rush through my veins faster than usual. It was like a feeling of adrenaline. Being around someone you have tension with does that to you. I drifted to sleep after about an hour of tossing and turning.
I woke up to a buzzing phone. Tori wouldn't stop calling me. I groaned and answered.
"What are you doing calling me so early?" I muttered.
"Early? It's 12 pm. How long have you been sleeping?" she said.
"WHAT?! Holy shit."
I hung up on her and rushed to the kitchen to eat.
"Look who decided to get up." my mom chuckled.
I didn't answer and quickly stuffed food into my mouth. I only had two hours to get ready. It might seem like a lot, but I always spent ages finding a good outfit, doing my makeup and styling my hair.
I laid out a few outfits on my bed. I tried every one of them on. After lots of confidence waves, panic and frustration, I managed to pick something to wear. I did my makeup and hair. The time flew by quickly and it was already 2:04. I could hear noise outside my window. It was Beck's RV. I ran outside and entered.
Everyone was already there. I tried to find a place to sit down. Unfortunately, the only free spot was on the bed, next to Jade. I sighed and allowed myself to fall on the bed. Jade was leaning against the bed frame. I could feel Jade's eyes on me. She was probably staring at me again, just like yesterday. Gosh, what is her problem?
I put in my earbuds and turned on some music. I didn't know how long the ride was gonna be, or where we were even going, so I closed my eyes let myself sink into the music, completely forgetting who I was sitting next to.
Some time later, I felt something on my lap. I opened my eyes and saw Jade's legs. I glanced at her, clearly annoyed.
"What?" she said. "I want to straighten my legs and I don't care that you're there." she said with a slight smirk.
I pushed her legs off of mine. I could tell she loved teasing me. No idea why. Several hours later, we arrived at our destination.
"We booked four hotel rooms in total. Three with a double bed and one with a single bed. I'll be in one room with Beck, Cat will stay with Robbie.." Tori stated.
"I'll take the room with the single bed." Andre mentioned.
"NO!" Jade and I yelled in unison.
"There is NO way I'm sleeping in the same bed as Jade." I said seriously.
"Sorry, but you'll have to. Should've called dibs on Andre's room earlier."
Jade groaned. We all proceeded to step out of the RV. All of us were pretty hungry, so we decided to eat dinner at a restaurant. I was enjoying my time.
It was getting late. We all made our way to the hotel which was near. Everyone took their keys, except me and Jade. I walked up to the reception, Jade stood next to me. As some lady handed us the key, I reached out to take it. So did Jade. Our hands touched. I quickly let go and let Jade get the key.
We entered the room. I was surprised Jade didn't lock me out. Knowing her, she would definitely do it. Jade made herself comfortable on the bed. I noticed a chair in the corner of the room. There weren't any cushions on it, so I knew I wouldn't like sitting there, but I did it anyways.
I refused to be near Jade when I had another choice.
